Aria’s POV
“Don’t let me go,” Harry and I harmonized, “cause I’m tired of feeling alone…”
We finished rehearsing our song at the lake and looked out at the water in silence. I sat on the ground while Harry sat behind me with his arms wrapped around my waist.
He nuzzled his head into my neck and mumbled, “I love you.” Aw, he reminds me of a giant teddy bear.
I didn’t say anything.
“Do you love me?” he picked his head up.
“Of course I do,” I replied. I turned my head to face him and gave a soft kiss on the lips.
“Say it,” he whispered.
“I love you,” and I kissed him sweetly again.
I have fallen for Harry so fast, but I feel like I know him so well.
I don’t think I have liked anyone this much before in my life…
Except for him.
*FLASHBACK*
“Aria!” my best friend Hannah laughed and playfully slapped my arm.
“What? The man was staring!” I giggled. Earlier, some creepo was staring at us and making vulgar gestures so I flipped him off.
We were sitting on a bench in the mall eating ice cream. I swirled around the remainder of my melted ice cream when Hannah repeatedly hit my hand.
“Aria! It’s Nick!” she whispered.
I looked up from my ice cream to see an extremely good looking brown haired boy walking towards us.
All of a sudden, my heart started to pound faster and faster. I hid my hair over my face so he wouldn’t see me. Oh my God, he is beautiful. I felt my blood rush to my face.
I have been crushing on him since middle school, and I have never even talked to him.
He perfectly walked down the mall walkway, without a care in the world. He is absolute perfection. UGH I just want to KISS HIS FACE.
“Hey girls,” he winked at us as he walked by.
“H-h-hi,” I stuttered out. By the time I spoke up, he could not hear me anymore. He was too far.
“Aria! Grow some balls and go to talk to him! It’s like you become a whole new person when he comes around!” Hannah scolded me.
“I’m sorry, I just like him so much! I freeze up!” I squealed as I stared at him walk away.
Soon, my smile faded. He just went up and hugged some blonde girl.
“Who-who is that?” my heart sank.
“I have no idea,” she said as she stared at the girl. She grabbed his hands and kissed him on the lips.
“I’m sorry, Aria,” Hannah said as she patted my back.
“It’s fine. It’s not like he knew I existed any way, I don’t know why I got my hopes up,” I sulked.
“Girl, you have no idea what goes on in Chemistry! He is always staring at you!”
“Yeah right!” I scoffed
*END OF FLASHBACK*
I can’t think about Nick right now. We are done. I am with someone who is not going to hurt me the way he did. I am with someone who I can trust, someone who will not hurt me physically or emotionally.
For once in a long time, I am happy.
