You silently grew more and more impatient the more the cat boy (as you had nicknamed him, for some reason he could never get used to the name) ranted about Yuki, as per usual, and then just started yelling for no reason in particular.

You got it, he was angry. He came to you when he was angry, most of the time. And while that warmed your heart because you knew that meant he trusted you with his emotions, you were also a bit upset by it. Kyo ranted at you, mainly because you couldn't talk back. You were restricted to, and you knew that very well, and so did he. It's not like people haven't done the same thing he has, in fact, many people used to. But you just couldn't accept it because it was Kyo. You... cared for him more than the others.

As your friend ranted, pacing around the living room of the house he, Tohru, and Yuki all lived at that you were visiting, you sat down on your legs and hands in your lap with the best posture you could manage. You couldn't help but slouch a little bit, though, since you were sitting for so long your back started to ache.

Looking at your hands, or 'communicators', as your mother so called them, you began to sign symbols. First it was 'dog', then 'snake', then 'kind' and 'restricted'. Sighing as Kyo's yells became simple background noise, you started to sign 'I like you'. If only you could actually tell him.

"And did you see the way he-- are you even listening to me, (y/n)?!"

Snapping you out of your romantic thoughts, you looked back up to Kyo. Embarrassed, you slowly shook your head and kept your eyes to the ground. You didn't mean to upset him more than he already was.

With you staring so intently at the floor, you didn't see the orange haired boy come over and sit next to you. He had to poke you (a little more harsh than needed, honestly) to get your attention once again. Kyo rested his elbow on the table next to you both, slouching normally as he raised a brow at you. It was silent until he groaned, a blush forming on his cheeks. "Are you going to tell me what's up with you or not?"

Oh. You turned your body a little so you were facing him more. I mean, why not tell him what was on your mind? He was asking.

I feel very conflicted on how you treat me, Kyo.

Reading that, both of the boys eyebrows raised in shock as you slowly continued.

I appreciate you trusting me with your emotions. I love that you do, truly. But I do not want the only reason you come to me to rant is because I simply can't talk back and that satisfies you.

Looking down, Kyo sighed as he shrugged his shoulders. "I mean, I can't say that isn't a part of it." You nodded. "But it's more than that. I feel like you actually listen to me, you know? And that's nice. You're nice." Shrugging again, the cat boy avoided meeting your eyes, pink rising on his cheeks. You smiled, and lightly touched his arm. He visibly flinched from the contact, and seeing that you quickly drew your hand away and signed to him.

I am so sorry. I forgot you disliked being touched.

"I-it's not that I don't like it!" Kyo shouted suddenly, and took his elbow off the table. Realizing his sudden outburst scared you, the boy relaxed his body so he looked less tense. "I just... There's a boundary too it. I can't explain it to you. I want to, but it's just one of those... things." You nodded in better understanding, and slowly reached to touch his bare arm again. "Of course you get it. You always do," He mumbled, watching as your fingers traced their way around his arm.

"I.. Your skin is soft." Kyo told you, still avoiding looking at you as he stared at your contact. Smiling a bit, you cupped his cheek. Startling him, Kyo looked up at you as you lightly traced circles with your thumb. Slowly, and almost a little hesitant, you took your hand away (your hand seemed colder when you did) and signed to him again.

I like touching you. And, Taking a deep breath, you looked up at the cat boy, who was busy looking at your hands, and you continued. And I like you, too.

Seeing as you got no response, you slouched more then you already were.

I'm sorry, that was a little straight forward, perhaps? I understand if you-

A hand on top of yours stopped you. Kyo was looking at you now, red eyes meeting (e/c). "I like you too," He said, making your heart flutter. "And I want to kiss you right now. I really, really want to. But I can't, I just- I can't, and-"

You laughed, and even though it had no sound, it caught his attention. I don't mind that at all. I cannot talk, and you cannot touch to an extent. We both have our boundaries, and I think that is just fine. But may I hold your hand?

Laughing with you, the boy nodded, and took your hand in his. You traced circles on the back of his hand with your thumb, and you saw him lightly smile. You joined him, but with a wide grin.
