A/N: Hello folks! My school teacher requested me to write this poem on the perils of social media to the younger generation. Take your time and read and comment! God bless :)

When you raise your collars,
Flaunting your accounts in every social network,
You think it's going to help you in life..
Drop the idea, for it is not going to work!

It sure does help, but in fewer ways
Than the plethora of the ways it does kill
You don't care to actually "live".
It surely is making the society look ill

You're addicted, attracted and too adamant
To let go of something that didn't build you.
You fall for flattery, intensified with smileys
Forgetting that someone in real truly loves you.

Folks who have you in their hearts,
Are the ones that will help you out
They are the ones who will stand by you
Even when you're fighting a fatal bout.

You upload snaps, vidoes shot at angles
To show you smarter than you already are
Remember someone unknown out there is waiting
To pull you down after you've come this far.

Use it constructively my child
For media helps in many, many other ways.
DO NOT, however make it your Horcrux
That you forget the passing of the days

Media are blessings you might want to use
Because it has turned to a useful resource
But, BEWARE! Beware, if you exploit it beyond the line,
It may backfire with a devastating force.

Life is much more than a tiny screen
Utter loving words, spread more love
Give your near and dear ones a thought
That you are a blessing from above!
