In Bethlehem was born our Lord,
Face as bright as the shining moon,
In a manger to dispel the darkness,
To redeem our sins very soon.
The Kingdom of Heaven was on earth
Glory to the God, the angels did croon,
Sinners and Gods were all reconciled
Celebration was in the stars and the moon.
News of His birth spread far and near
The Son of God was born with a smile.
Kings and gifts arrived from yonder
From as far as the farthest isle.
The sick were healed, the sinner redeemed
The meek's sinews strengthened,
Their God, their Savior stood before them
They worshiped him, He-The Enlightened
Peace on earth was restored,
From the hands of the vile rescued
The sinners' mercy plea granted
The dominance of evil forever subdued
May the Light of the Lord and Goodness of His soul
Strengthen and enlighten all of us
May forever we be united with him
For peace giver is He- Our Lord Jesus.
