A poem that I wrote when I was chatting with my best friend. Something about the chat struck a chord in me and I instantly penned them down. Hope you all like it. God bless :)

She sat alone, weary of the drama
Pointless and unending
Inhaled deeply and heaved a sigh
She knew many such were impending

Her heart longed for the one
To comfort her when she is mad
Not a knight in shining armour
But a friend to be by her when she is sad.

She yearned not to be judged
When she shed tears, of joy or of pain.
Yet she was scared to open up any more
For fear of being backstabbed again

But then, what's life without love
For people come to our lives
For a good solid reason
Either to be there always or stab like many knives

People become a chapter in our lives
They may leave etched a scourged scar
Or stay throughout our whole novel
Making us gape at the person who came with us thus far.

Friendships can be eternal
If we accept the other as they are
Of course friendships can go beyond
The night sky studded with many a star
