Chapter 12

The two college students made their way down the corridors of Backupsmore, it was a small humble college that neither of them would be going to if it weren't for a few roadblocks such has money, in Fiddlefords' case and family troubles along with other things Ford wouldn't talk about in, of course, Fords' case, but the two were, to their surprise, incredibly happy. They never expected to be so happy in the small college. Ford planned on skipping social interaction all together while in college and just focus on his studies but Fiddleford had a way of talking him into things such as going out to nice places to eat and going to social events. Ford was always quite shy and definitely had some social anxiety but when he was with Fiddleford it all seemed to melt away.
"We have the same classes today right darlin'?" Fiddleford gave a grin to his boyfriend, even though they were still in the closet about their relationship and did try to keep it that way they couldn't help but sneak a few things here and there, besides, the hallway was mostly empty. Ford couldn't help but blush, he had a weakness for that pet name and Fiddleford definitely knew. After all, Ford is incredibly cute when he blushes, which happens quite often. Ford nodded sheepishly in response. Fiddleford smiled wider. "You're so cute, ya know?" He ruffled his boyfriend dark brown hair, causing Ford to blush deeper. "Fidds.." Ford looked up at the taller student, causing him to sigh. "I know, I know." He moved his hand back to his side and stepped an inch away from Ford as they continued to walk. Ford always felt bad for stopping Fiddleford like this. He really did wish they could be open about their relationship but he knew it just wasn't realistic at the time, but maybe, just maybe it would be in three years time. Ford had been zoning in on a certain small town in the state of Oregon and was considering moving there after college for his research and if things continue to go well for him and Fiddleford he was definitely thinking about inviting the southerner to live with him but he also knew Fiddleford had a dream of his own to pursue and he wasn't going to stop him when the time comes for them to go their separate ways and follow their own paths but still, he wanted Fiddleford to stay part of his life he really did but for now all he could do is wait for that almost dreaded day. "Fidds, I'm sorry." Ford looked down as they started getting closer to the cafeteria. He sounded so sad and Fiddleford didn't know why, sometimes this just happens and Fiddleford does understand that Ford is dealing with a lot of pressure. "Aw, for what sugar?" Fiddleford asked and placed his hand on Fords shoulder. "That we have to be so secretive about our relationship... I know that's not what you want.." He said and buried his face in the turtleneck part of the orange sweater he was wearing. "Oh Ford, I'm fine with it, it's what makes you more comfortable darlin'. I don't want you to feel anymore stressed than you already are." Fiddleford forced a smile. "I don't want this though! I want to be able to hug you in public! I want you to be able to kiss me in front of the entire school!" Ford started breathing heavier. He was incredibly upset again. He had the tendency to hold is emotions and problems inside to the point of him exploding. There were several times where he cried himself to sleep and some nights he'd just stay up and talk to Fiddleford all night long. "Shhh, it's ok, Ford, I promise." Fiddleford carefully took hold of Fords' tense polydactyly hand and tried calming him down. Fiddleford looked around the hallway, which was now filling with more students, for a moment before pulling Ford into the janitors closet nearby. "What-" Ford started to say something but was interrupted by Fiddlefords' soft and warm lips against his own. "Now, tell me what's wrong." Fiddleford stared into Fords' brown eyes, now filled with tears.

(Super sorry it took me so long to finally update this XD I just hadn't felt very inspired. But here ya go, chapter 12. Wow is this thing turning out longer than I originally intended. Anyways, hope y'all like it! ^-^)
