A Hero's Rescue Part 1

~ Many Hours Later~

Everyone is sitting in the waiting area in complete silence. Ray has his head down in his lap as the doctor approchs them.

Doctor: Is this the family of Jakaylah Redmound?

Ray: Yes is she okay?!

Doctor: We have semi-good news and bad news. Ms Redmond suffered head trauma possibly from a fall. The way she fell cut off air coming from her lungs.  She is still alive but will be in a coma like state for a few hours.

Ray: So she is alive!

Roc: But what is the bad news?

Doctor: We were not able to save her child.

Everyone except the doctor: Child!?

Doctor: Where you not aware that Ms. Redmond was a month pregnant?

Ray: No, we were not. When can we see her?

Doctor: The nurse will contact you when you are able to visit her.

Taylor: Thank you.

Ray: She was pregnant.

Prince: Ray you didn’t wrap it up?

Ray: (Walking out of the waiting room.) I never had sex with her!

Prince: Dame. She cheated on him?

Taylor: She didn’t seem like the type to do that though she was so loving and sweet.

Raven: Well obviously, that was a front.

Taylor: I don’t know.

Taylor’s POV

Ray was finally able to see Kaylah, he has been sitting by her bed for hours. Everyone except Taylor and Prod went to the cafeteria.

I decided  to go see if Kaylah woke up yet and I found Ray sitting by her bed just staring at her.

Taylor: Hey Ray.

Ray: How could she do this? I thought she was on the level.

Taylor: You don’t know the whole story.  We just have to wait for her to wake up. The doctor said maybe in the next hour or so. You should go get something to eat with the others. I will stay with her.

Ray: Thanks. (Leaves to go to cafeteria)

I sat down by her bed and stared at her for a moment.

Taylor: What happened Kaylah. (Holding her hand.)

I knew she couldn’t hear me but I needed to know why she hid this pregnancy.

I was about to walk out when I felt her grip my hand back.

Kaylah: (Weakly) Dig

Taylor: Dig? Dig What?

Kaylah: (Weakly) It was Diggy.
