If I Could

This is one of my favorite poems. Even though I can no longer say I still want what is in here with the person I wrote it for, I can say one day I hope to have a man that will truly make my wish, dream, hope, and prayer come true.

If I could have a wish, a dream,

 A hope or prayer

I would wish to always be with you.

I would dream of falling asleep in your arms.

I would hope to see your face everyday.

I would pray to feel you by my side day or night.

If I could have a wish, a dream,

A hope or prayer

I would wish to wake up to your arm around me.

I would dream of smiling at you in the early morning light.

I would hope to laugh at the silliest things with you.

I would pray to love you all the rest of the days of my life.

If I could have a wish, a dream,

A hope or prayer

I would wish to feel your hand in mine.

I would dream of your lips on my cheek.

I would hope to hear your voice in the middle of the night.

I would pray to never have to watch you go through blurry eyes.
