I can't recall the last time I took advice from anyone,

it would probably be the death of me.

The chariot ride back to the palace was the longest it had ever been. My heart rushed with anxiety. The horses stopped and I descended onto the stony ground. The palace seemed to gain its old warmth as I stepped through the palace doors. Every thing was hectic and crowded. Probably due to the servants rush to make everything presentable to Gabriel not expecting his return. The rush and panic of the palace foyer was a clear description of my mind, but most importantly my heart.

As I moved forward a path was created for me by the servants, soon recognizing my entrance. I made my way to the banquet hall, this was the place Gabriel would most likely be if not his office.

I could feel him before I entered the room. Power. I chose to sit at the opposite head of the table. I still could not see Gabriel. I sat quietly keeping my composure as queen. A crowd of huddled men obstructed my view of anything. I chose to rest my eyes on the tapestry that ordained the walls. I felt burning eyes at my neck. BANG! Gabriel had slammed his fist on the table making the wood and silverware tremble. The boisterous room was cloaked in silence. "Your queen, -my wife, entered the room some time ago, bow to her presence. Disregard to her is blatant rebellion to my authority, which will be met with death." Gabriel stated calmly yet laced with an overbearing form of fury, glaring every man in the room down daring them to falter out of step. He had noticed me. He said that I was his wife. I was met with familiar grey eyes that seemed to bury into my soul, taking root. "Forgive us your highness." The men said in perfect unison bowing in clad armor of metal. I stared at them for a while. Both annoyance and shock twisted in my stomach. I flicked my wrist for them to continue. "Carry on." I declared meeting Gabriel's eyes that held no emotion or hint to if he missed me. The men returned to their speaking once again, this time not as loud or erratic. "You are all dismissed, I must speak with my wife."Gabriel stated, his jaw clenched and solid. The men left the room in single file. I was left with him, his eyes on me. He stared at me for eternity. I was once again in the trap of a wolf. His eyes paralyzed me and made me weak. "Come here."
