Jimin fell silent for a moment, before nodding.
He knew that Minyoung had all the right to know about her past. There was no use in hiding and acting like her past was the worst thing in her life when there was her best memories there too.
"What do you want to know?"
"Anything." Minyoung whispered. "Anything that I don't know about. It may help me remember."
"We dated once in 6 grade."
Minyoung gasped, her eyes widened in surprise. "Liar."
"It's true." Jimin chuckled. "But we broke up after a week. Being friends was better for us."
Minyoung chuckled, imaging twelve years old Jimin and her dating each other. "Impossible. I don't remember at all."
"It was the strangest week in our whole friendship. We almost grew apart because of it." Jimin smiled softly at the memory. Minyoung couldn't help but feel envied, wishing that she could share with him what he was feeling at the moment.
"But it seems like our friendship is stronger than just this." Minyoung pulled her legs up as she hugged them, resting her head over her knees. She watched Jimin nodding. The smile wouldn't disappear from his face. She was curious about the memories that was running in his mind that she had no idea of them.
Her stomach fluttered when he chuckled and looked up at her. "Your personality is strong Minyoung. You are stubborn and always curious and super hyper. Always do what you want even if it will hurt you. I...." Jimin sighed, running a hand over his hair. He crawled up into the bed and pressed his back on the bed's board. It took for him a moment before saying, "I guess I liked you, way back from the first time I met you. I just figured it out lately."
Heat rushed through Minyoung's cheeks as she focused her sight at the edge of the bed, refusing to look at him.
"You are talking as if you are in love with me?"
Jimin met Minyoung's eyes as she held her breath for a moment. She didn't know if she was ready to hear this. "I'm in love with you."
A brief of silence passed.
Jimin frowned when he didn't get an answer or even a comment on what he just said. He'd come to confess his feelings for her for the first time and all what he received was silence.
"I shouldn't have said that." Jimin broke the silence.
Minyoung's eyes widened when she saw the expression over his face. She didn't mean to do that. Her chest tightened as she regretted her lack of response.
"I like you Jimin, you know that." Minyoung said to correct her mistake but it was too late. She knew that wasn't what he wanted to hear. He already knew that she liked him. She always had. But not the way he wanted.
"I'm sorry." She hid her face in her knees. "I'm still confused Jimin."
"I won't give up." She heard Jimin saying. His voice came closer than before. She raised up her head to find him sitting on the edge of the bed again. He was leaning close and his hand reached for her. She let him have her hands.
"I will make you fall in love with me."
"You got a chance. I just don't want to lose you, Jimin." She squeezed his hand, in which he returned with another squeeze. They smiled at each other.
At that moment Minyoung realised how it was so different to look into Jungkook's eyes so closely and Jimin's. With Jungkook she wished time would stop and the moment would be memorized in her mind.
