Chapter 11 : Lay Back Eggs!

"Okay so I'll tell you now what are Lay Back Eggs Axel," said Arceus.

"'Lay Back Eggs' means the eggs created by the Regulators (Legendary Pokemon). These eggs are created for a purpose.

Due to the invention of the Poke-Ball, every Pokemon including we the Regulators can be captured inside a ball. I created these regulators for the functioning of the world.

We release 25% of our power and store them in the form of an egg. After 9 months the Egg which we laid back hatches and a baby regulator is born. The baby regulator is the one which is captured by the people in those monster balls. We the original ones never come near a human.

After the human dies, the Regulators are free again.

Thus, now there are 2 identical Regulatory Pokémon in the world. This explains why the same Regulator is seen in different regions. They might be travelling or it must be the hatched baby regulator.

I'll tell you a real case. Earlier there was only one Jirachi in Hoenn. Then a trainer from Unova caught him and went back to his region. Jirachi laid back an egg already. So after 9 months, a baby Jirachi hatched in Hoenn while there was already a Jirachi in Unova. Thus now there are 2 Jirachi in the Pokemon world.

Your friend Ash has met both the Jirachis.

However, there are two cases. This was the first one when we create an egg as a substitute. Now the second reason is...

We Legends, like other common Pokémon have a lifespan. We also die. But we are reborn due to these Lay Back Eggs.

We regulators know when we are going to die. So a month prior, we release 25% of our powers and store them in the form of an egg. Then after a month when the Regulators die, for 8 months the regulator is extinct if it has no another twin identity. Then when the egg hatches 8 months after the death of the legend, I transfer their soul to the newly hatched legend. When the soul is transferred, the original 25% power with which the egg was laid now becomes 100%.  This is how balance is mainted in the world due to Lay Back Eggs. This is how they're reborn, even more stronger.

Well this isn't the case with me. My lifespan is 100 Billion years. I have died twice and last was 5 Billion Years ago. So when my death is near, 9 months prior like other legends I create an egg. The problem is, when I die, the universe is destroyed. Everything is destroyed only my egg remains.

Then for a few months there is nothing left in the universe but a few exceptional beings. After a few months, I hatch and create the universe again with my thousand hands. It takes a year to do so.

Then after the universe is formed again, everything has a new beginning.

This is how balance is maintained in the world due to the Lay Back Eggs."

"Oh! That's something Mind-Blowing and Fascinating!!" said Axel.

"Hmm." Arceus said.

"Now I understood, why the Poke-Dex says that, You have emerged from an egg when there was nothing and then shaped the universe with your 1000 arms. So that was a Lay Back Egg right?"

"Indeed. And the Poke-Dex is correct." It said.

"Thank You Arceus!" said Axel.

"Your Welcome human. Now, I shall go to my Dimension now. We shall meet again soon. Until then..." It said.

"Sure! GoodBye!"

Arceus went back to the sky and a portal appeared within which it entered. The time started to flow back again.

"Okay Charizard! Now we need to go to Cerulean City! Let's go!"

"Charr!"

Axel sat on Charizard's back and they set off for Cerulean City.

"Misty! Here I come!"

Will Axel be able to beat the water type Gym Leader Misty? Where is Syrus? What is he up to?
