Past Comes Back (NCIS)

CHAPTER 6

Tony's POV

After spending my vacation in New York with senior ziva and I finally made our way back to DC, she's now six months pregnant with our twin boys and I have a nice surprise for her. The house we bought is now dully furnished and nicely painted, the only room we're still working on is the nursery. I've even had a contractor finish off the guest house for when dad decides to make his visit down here. I pulled into the driveway and helped her out of the car before grabbing our bags from the trunk and we walked I into our new home together

Ziva: tony how did you do all of this without being here? It's perfect

I know a guy, I wanted you to come hone to a house you'd be comfortable in

Ziva: that was very sweet of you, I love it and seeing the house in person for the first time makes it even better

You deserve the best and I want my boys to have a good home when they get here. The nursery isn't quite organized right now, but you should come look, all I need to do is set everything up in there

We walked into the nursery which was filled with baby items and that wasn't the half of it, we still needed a few more necessary thins for when the boys come

Ziva: it's amazing, I love the colors and I could help set up the cribs if you want

You can't be bending low to be tightening screws, McGee already agreed to help me out with our special project this weekend. How about I make us something to eat?

Ziva: it's like you can read my mind

I have to run out to the grocery store for some supplies, do you want to come with me or will you sit and relax until I get home

Ziva: I'm going to run a bath and hopefully

I'll be back in 20 minutes

I gave her a kiss before heading out to the grocery store and picking up some items that were needed for dinner and. I got enough things to last about a week before heading back home. When I got in I went to put the groceries away and started on dinner. Once I got everything ready I went to check on Ziva while the food was on the stove

Ziva: you scared me a little, you know you took really long at the store

I was downstairs starting on dinner. Are you okay?

Ziva: I just need to take a seat for a while, my feet are killing me

I sat next to her and rubbed her feet until it started feeling better then I finished up dinner and we sat and ate together

Ziva: so your headed back to work tomorrow

Yeah, it's been good being able to relax with you this summer but I have to get back out there. If you want me to take more time I can do that. I can wait it out until the babies come

Ziva: I'll be fine as long as you'll be coming home to me at the end of the day and I wanted to wait a while before I got a job because I'll need to be with the boys

I get that, you don't have to think about you getting a job, I can take care of my family

Ziva: I know you can and I have enough money that can last me a while, when my father died he left me with enough money to take care of myself, but I do still want a job and gibbs actually suggested I come back to NCIS as a linguistics analyst

That's great and I'd get to see you during the day which is also great. Are you considering it?

Ziva: I am, but I can't just go for the job right now. I'm six months pregnant and when the babies do come I want to be home for a while. He said the job would be waiting for me, so I don't have to rush anything

That's a good thing, I'm going to clean up then take a shower and head up to bed

Ziva: you did everything, I can handle cleaning up. Go take your shower and I will get this cleaned up

I don't want you on your feet for too long, their already swollen. your carrying my twins, I don't mind doing the work you can't. You go up to bed and rest your feet while I handle the cleanup

I kissed her then proceeded to gather up our dirty dishes and clean up. When I got done I went and showered then joined ziva in bed

Ziva: your sons are in a very uncomfortable position right now. Their kicking so much in there

I placed my hand on her belly and felt their tiny little kicks

That's pretty amazing, we're going to have us two very active little boys

Ziva: yeah

We both fell asleep after a while, I had a long day ahead of me so I needed the rest and so did she. I woke up to an empty bed the next morning which worried me a little, I went downstairs to find that she was just making breakfast which looked amazing

Ziva: hey

Hi, this all looks really great

Ziva: you made dinner so I figured I should make you breakfast before you head out, I don't want you running late so I fixed it to go. You should go ahead and shower while I finish up down here

I went and showered then dressed for work. On my way out she handed me my breakfast and a cup of coffee that I took along with me. U walked into the office and greeted bishop and McGee before talking my seat

McGee: someone's happy this morning, how was your trip to tel Aviv?

It was very short, we didn't stay there too long. I spent most of my vacation visiting my dad in New York

McGee: did you not get to see Ziva?

Yes I saw Ziva, we were together in New York and she's at our new place here in DC. I left her sorting baby clothes by color for the boys

Ellie: boys?

We found out in New York that we're having twin boys and it's the best news ever even though I'm not so great with kids

McGee: kids like you and I think you'll make a great dad. Twins was a bit of a shocker, but you can handle that

Thanks a lot, you know she really wants to see you guys so I was thinking we could all do dinner sometime and you guys can see our new house

Ellie: you bought a house?

We're expecting twins and my apartment wasn't big enough for four, so ziva and I bought a house together. it's a really nice place and it's kid friendly

Ellie: you seem very excited when you talk about ziva or your babies. I'm glad your happy and we're happy for you

Do you think you and Jake will be having any kids any time soon?

Ellie: I don't know really, Jake and I are not thinking about kids right now. He and I are both too preoccupied with work. Someday down the line maybe we'll have a baby or two. How far along is ziva with your babies?

Six months, they move around a lot. Is the boss in yet?

McGee: he has a parent teacher conferences he's at with jenny and his daughter. I think it's something about the fact that she'll be graduating highschool at fifteen. That kid is a really smart girl

Kat is more than just smart. I don't know how she managed to stay on top of her school work with all the extra curricular activities she has going on

Ellie: she's one in a million

We continued talking for a while, mostly about what we did on our vacations and we had to get to work when the boss arrived
