There's a famous old saying. It goes like this: "Curiosity killed the cat."

The Ink Man was feeling adventurous. Wouldn't you? You live in a land for months and things don't change for a long time, but suddenly a new opportunity arrises. He knew what he was to do.

A few hours passed (due to the long hike back through thick forest) and the Ink Man had returned. With him he brought a jet black rope and hook. He approached the ravine and looked around. He spotted a small notch in the rock, the perfect size to anchor the rope and hook in. He jammed it in and threw the rope down.

It took many seconds for it to hit below.

Though he was scared, he had courage. After cracking his fingers and stretching out he grabbed hold. The Ink Man began to shuffle down. As he went down it just got darker and darker. The only light he could see was from the top of the crevice. He kept shuffling down steadily and was actually excited to explore.

Then the rope snapped.
