You sat up, and gazed at the huge bus in front of you. At least you thought it was a bus. You slowly rose to your feet and grabbed your bag, you didn't have many belongings so everything you needed fit in this small bag. You began walking around the bus, taking note of every little detail. It was huge, and looked as if it has two floors, which you know, shouldn't really be possible. As you were gawking at the vehicle you didn't hear the bus doors open, so you jumped and let out a little squawk when you heard a voice behind you.
"Are you going to get on the bus or what? I don't have all day you know." You turned around to see a boy, who looked like he were in his early twenties. He had short red hair and dark blue eyes, and was actually rather tall. You weren't short, so you were about up to his shoulder. He spoke again.
"Are you just gonna sit there and gawk at me? Honestly, I know I'm handsome but we've got places to go and people to see." He walked into the huge bus and started the engine. You on the other hand weren't so sure that you should go with him, this all seemed kinda strange. He poked his head out the window and motioned for you to come.
"If you don't get on the danmed bus I'ma have to come and carry you." He looked very serious when he said that, and you weren't taking any chances, so you followed the man into the bus.
You got on and noticed that instead of seats, there were beds, you thought this was really weird but sat down on one anyway.
"Hand me your bag." The man spoke to you with his hand outstretched, you gave him your bag. He opened an overhead compartment and placed your bag inside, then sat down on a stool and look at you with a bored expression.
"So, what's your name anyway?" He asked you a question while you were worriedly looking at the crystal chandelier on the ceiling. What would happen if you were to crash?
"Oh, um it's (y/n)." You replied while tying to see the driver, since the bus had started moving.
"Is (l/n) you last name?" His eyes opened wide and he looked down at a piece of paper he was holding.
"Uh, well, yeah it is." You were trying to figure out if you could trust this stranger, and how he knew your last name.
"Alright then" his expression changed from shock to one of acknowledgement as he kept taking.
"I'm supposed to take you to The Leaky Cauldron, where you'll meet your aunt." This shocked you a little, he had said "where you'll meet your aunt" was he being truthful? Were you actually going to see her again? Your mind was racing with different thoughts, like what if she di-
"Hey! Are you alright there? You haven't said a word and you were just staring off into space, looking all crazy-like." You looked back at him, and tried to find a way to change the subject. You looked for the driver again, and finally noticed him, the only thing was, he wasn't there. No one was driving the bus.
"Who the heck is driving this thing?!" You looked at the man thinking you were about to crash and die.
"Well, I am. I'm the driver of the Night Bus." He responded looking very proud of himself, but you couldn't seem to process the information. You tried speaking several times, but the words failed to come out. When they finally did however, it sounded much harsher than intended.
"Bu- HOW!" You yelled at him and made him jump out of his seat.
"What'd you mean how?! I'ma freaking wizard, just like you and everyone else on this bus!" He seem rather baffled that you didn't know this information, and, as if to prove his point, made a very dramatic hand movement towards the steering wheel, and the bus came to a stop, sending you flying forward. You stood up and gripped the pole of the bed. You look at him at your eyes met, only for him to smirk at you, before making another hand gesture and sending the bus barreling forward again. This knocked you down onto the bed again. He sat back down on his stool and gave you an "I-told-you-so" look. He was getting on your nerves.
"I'll have you know I'm quite capable of moving my hands as well." After stating that you move both your hands into the air and exaggeratedly moved them around, only to stop and raise both your middle fingers into the air.
"Oh my, such profanity!" He dramatically fell onto the bus floor and got back up, stuck his tongue out at you, and sat back at the divers seat. You giggled at this whole endeavor, and lay down on the bed. You closed your eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep, welcoming the sweet darkness.
