Option 3: Froggy

"Soooo, which pet are you gonna choose?" Akane was looking at you, rocking on her heels, holding the little orange kitten she was going to buy. You thought for a little, then came to a conclusion.

"I think I'll go with the little frog." you watched as Akane pulled a face, then made a small "hmp" noise and shrugged her shoulders. She trotted back inside the store. You stood in silence thinking of a name for your soon-to-be pet frog. Your thoughts were soon interrupted by a friendly voice behind you.

"Hey." You turned around to see a young boy, about your age, with black hair and thin-rimmed glasses. He smiled and spoke again.

"You remember me from the bookstore?" You thought to yourself for a few moments, then you remembered.

"It's Tobias, right?" (You either remember him from the bookstore or imagine that Akane told you about him.)

"Yeah." After he responded you swore you saw his cheeks dust a light shade of pink.

"What are you doing just standing all alone out here?" He looked around, noticing you were almost the only other person here.

"Oh, well my friend is inside getting me a pet for school." You felt embarrassed, you didn't really want him to think you were poor, but...

"Well that's very kind of the-" his statement was interrupted by a sudden rustling from inside his brown bag. You both exchanged scared and confused glances. Just then a small, green blob leaped out of the bag, making Tobias stumble and drop his bag onto the cobblestone, spelling its contents everywhere.

"W-what was that?" You looked at him terrified, as he bent down to pick up his belongings. As if on cue, a small creature jumped onto your back, making you squeal and whip around.

"Are you alright?" Tobias tried to steady you, not noticing the problem.

"T-there's something on m-my back." He examined your back closely and finally found the creature.

"Hold still." He was speaking calmly, very different from his usual demeanour. He held you shaking body still with one hand and pried something off your back with the other. Once it was off he told you you could turn around.

"What was that?" You motioned to a little green lizard he was putting a clear, plastic, cage.

"This is my pet for school, his name's Zookie." He had finished replacing all the objects in the bag, except for the lizard, which was looking rather annoyed in its cage.

"Zookie?" You thought it was a rather strange name, but then again you knew someone named Akane and Cancer, and you were in a magic shopping centre right now.

"His whole name is Gadzooks, it's a character from a book I read. It was about dragons, and I guess you can make the connection." He placed the lizard, now in a more tightly closed cage, back inside his bag.

"All this wizarding stuff is so new to me." You signed and looked at the ground, surprising Tobias, who was caught off guard by your comment.

"It's alright. I'm sure you'll get a fell for it eventually." He smiled and placed his hand on your head, making your cheeks warm up at the sudden contact. You were about to say something but were soon interrupted by your friend bursting through the pet stores door.

"I got your frog (y/n)!"
