I still remember your rising chest
and falling breaths
they way you said you loved me
when we sat by the pier hand in hand
admiring the waves mourn over its past love
you pointed to the moon and said its our forgotten home
a cigarette in hand, you were still a broken masterpiece
as we ran past the shores, as free as ever
wrapped in each others comfort
the way you looked at me before you kissed me
your morning hair, and humming melodies
I remember
the smile on your face as you framed my hair with daises
the moment I believed being young and in love lasted
I remember it all
but you have forgotten
