It's been two days. Two days since he called. His voice still echoed in my mind. The voice I once loved hearing,  is now my worst nightmare.

I shook the thoughts away from my head, and I realized that I had my date tonight with Shawn. I suddenly felt all giddy, and the thoughts of Harry were pushed to the back of my mind.

I felt excited, yet anxious about tonight. What if he suddenly cancels, what if I mess it all up? What if this ends badly? I'm hoping nothing bad happens tonight. I really like Shawn, and I don't want to ruin this. Not just for me. For the both of us.

I shhok off my pessimistic thoughts, and I decided to pick out my clothes for tonight.

I padded over to my closet, and I skimmed through all my dresses. Then, I realized he said the date was casual, so I pulled out my favorite thick plaid shirt, skinny black jeans, and grey beanie.  I also took one of my bracelets, a ring, and my brown boots and laid it out.

The date wasn't until 7pm

The date wasn't until 7pm. It was only 11 am. It's Saturday, so I chose to binge watch some movies.

I came down an hour later, and I ate lunch with aunt Maddie. She asked me about the date, and I sheepishly answered all her questions.

The rest of the day was a blur. At six, I was already straightening my unruly hair. Then I brushed my teeth for the second time today. When I finally slipped on my clothes, it was already 6:50.

I put only a little amount of makeup. Mascara, and Chapstick. That was pretty much it. I put on my boots, and I shoved my wallet and phone down my pockets.

All of a sudden, the doorbell rang. I practically sprinted to the front door. I composed myself for a moment, before I opened the door. Aunt Maddie appeared from her office as well, smiling at the two of us.

"Hi," I said timidly.

"Hi, these are for you," he replied, handing me a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

"Thank you. They're so pretty! Can I put them in a vase really quick? I don't want to waste these."

"Yeah sure. I'll be right here. "

I found a vase in the kitchen, and when I came back, Shawn was waiting patiently outside, conversing with my aunt. I overheard some of their conversation. I know eavesdropping is wrong, but I couldn't help it.

"Listen, Shawn I know you're a good kid. Really. I trust you with Hailee. I can see that you really like my niece. I've never seen you this happy before."

I smiled at my aunt, and I appeared in front of them.

I realised that we had matching outfits on. Of course aunt Maddie noticed.

"No way. You guys are matching! Thats so cute! Let me take a picture!  Please! I'm gonna send it to your dad,"

I was about to object,  but Shawn answered for the both of us.

"Sure. Burt should see this."

I rolled my eyes as my Aunt took her phone out,  and I posed next to Shawn. He rested his hand on my back,  and I felt shivers down my spine. I tried to ignore the buzzing feeling all over me from his touch.

I smiled cheekily next to him,  and he smiled widely as well. We took another one,  and both of us made dumb faces.

After we took pictures,  Aunt Maddie reminded us to be careful,  and that we had to be home by eleven. We agreed, and headed out the door.

I felt butterflies in my stomach for what felt like the third time today.

Shawn led me to his car, and opened the door for me. As he started to pull out of my driveway, I spoke.

"Shawn, where are we going?"

"You'll find out soon," he said with a cute smile.
