Nightmares

Sebastian's Pov

I quietly make my way back into Ciel's room. Nothing happened between us.....yet.

"Young Master it's time to wake up." I say softly. When I don't get an answer I resort to opening the curtain. Ciel groans and pulls the blanket over his head. So it's going to be one of those days.

I walk back over beside Ciel's bed and attempt to pull the blanket off him.

"S-Sebastian please don't....." Ciel gently pulls me towards him and wraps his small arms around me.

"Just a few more minutes...." He whispers before releasing me and falling back alseep.

He hadn't had a nightmare last night! For the first time in a long time! I smile slightly and pet Ciel's head softly.

Ciel makes a noise similar to one of a cats purr. My sweet Ciel would make the cutest kitten.

I watch Ciel sleep for a while longer before waking him again.

"It's time to wake up kitten." Ciel's eyes flutter open and he grins.

"What's with the pet names?" He jokes as I pour his tea.

"That's funny coming from you." I add and sit his tea in front of him. He just grins.

"Would you prefer me to call you by your real name?" Ciel asks knowing it'll cause that, new, painful feeling in my heart.

"No. I'm Sebastian. That's the name you gave me and I love it." I turn to leave but Ciel catches my jacket.

"Don't leave! Please....." He begs and moves over so I can lay next to him.

I do what I know he wants. I lay next to Ciel, who instantly snuggles into my side.

"Clear today's schedule." He says harshly whist staring into my eyes.

"But Y-"

"No buts." I sigh and nod. Ciel's breathing slows slightly. He must be sleeping.

I place a gentle kiss on his head before wiggling out of his grasp. A pillow gets placed where I once was.

Something's going to happen today I can feel it. Whatever it is can't be good or I wouldn't be feeling this way.

I enter the kitchen to find the others huddled around a pie I told them to clean up.

"Oh for God's sake eat the pie!" I accidently shout. Everyone gets a scared look before hesitantly eating the pie.

My hearts racing and I really dislike the way it feels. Before I know it I begin to clean......and clean......and clean.

Drowning myself in work isn't working!

"SEBASTIAN!!!!!" My heart stops as I hear plates from downstairs shatter. I sprint to Ciel's room. Bard runs smack into me just in front of Ciel's door.

Why did he come running towards Ciel? Doesn't he know I'd get here?

"SEBASTIAN!!!! BARD?!?!?! SOMEBODY!" Ciel cries.

"Nightmare." Bard mumbles and I nod.

"You'd better take care of that." He says before walking away. When I open the door my heart sinks. Ciel's drenched in sweat and tears.

"S-Sebastian?" He cries as our eyes lock. His eyepatch isn't on, exposing the beautiful mark I placed on him.

I gently close the door and make my way over to Ciel. He looks so lost.....so scared.

"Tell me." I order as I sit on his bed. Ciel's eyes only water up more.

"Y-you l-l-left for g-good." Ciel sobs.

"Now young-"

"DON'T TRY TO MAKE THIS SEEM LITTLE! YOU WERE DEAD SEBASTIAN!" My eyes widen in shock due to Ciel's sudden out burst. He begins to visibly tremble. I watch helplessly as his gaze drifts down to his hands.

"Y-you were gone.....I tried to call out for you to stop playing around but you didn't move. Your eyes were....." Ciel takes in a breath obviously trying to hide the pain in his voice.

"They were lifeless!" I gently pull Ciel into my lap and wrap my arms around him. He grips my coat tightly.

Ciel's ear is placed right on my now beating heart. Within minutes he's calmed enough to speak again. He pulls back and stares directly into my eyes.

"Promise you'll never leave me. Promise you'll t-take my soul before you decide you're finished with me. P-please." Tears stream from Ciel's gorgeous eyes.

I gently press my lips to his, and after his brief moment of shock he kisses back.

He lays his head back down over my heart allowing me to pull him impossibly closer.

"That heart Ciel......it beats only for you."
