Rowan's POV

We just got back from the movies with Ali. She's so much fun!

"Dinner will be ready soon," she called to us.

I began to set the table with Dan, even though Ali tried to shoo us away.

"That's not necessary." But she was smiling and I decided she appreciated the help.

While I was setting down the napkins, my stomach twisted. I figured it was just from the popcorn or hunger. I ignored it until I felt a sharp pain in my belly.

"Ooh. That one hurt," I muttered, gripping my stomach.

"You okay pumpkin," Ali turned to me from the stove.

"Ya I'm fine. I just.. I have to use the bathroom."

I hurried down the hall. Maybe I had to go..?

"Okay, let's see.." My eyes widened. "OK I'M NOT FINE!" I shouted.

Within seconds there was loud knocking on the door.

"What's happened?" Ali asked, sounding concerned.

"Are you alright?"

"No," I said from the other side of the door. "There's a lot of blood," I told them.

"What?! Rowan let me in," the doorknob shook.

"Dan. Dan. Dan, listen to me. This.. Just let me take care of this."

After a few more moments I heard him walk off.

"Ok, let me in Rowan."

I unlocked the door and Ali explained what had happened and told me to get in the shower to clean up.

"So... What happened?" Dan finally asked in the middle of dinner.

"Oh boy," Ali shook her head, smiling and we laughed, Dan looking confused as ever.

Dan's POV

It's Sunday night. Ant and Dec have just picked us up. My phone buzzed again and I looked down at the message, smiling.

"Who keeps texting you?" Ant asked curiously as he drove.

I hesitated, "Just a.. friend."

He smirked, "Right. Did you have fun over the weekend?"

Rowan nodded. "Are we going to see Ali again?"

"Sure," Dec agreed. "I bed she'd love that. She's always wanted kids."

Ant's hands clutched the steering wheel a little tightly but he quickly relaxed. I watched him for a minute before my phone went off again.

"Seriously Dan. Who are you texting?" Rowan urged.

"A friend," I said again.

She rolled her eyes playfully and didn't press on.

"Dan, why are you running around?" Rowan asked.

"Because he's going to be here at six and I only have five more minutes," I rushed, straightening my hair.
