A coffee shop employee walked towards Christopher. “Would you like something to eat?”

I looked away, still annoyed. “He’s so annoying.”

Shay nodded. “He needs to leave you the hell alone.”

I looked back at them and Christopher saw me.

He smirked. “Hey, babe!” He shouted loudly, walking towards me with his friends.

He sat next to me, putting his arms around my shoulders.

His friends laughed and sat next to Tyra and Shay not caring if they were wanted or not.

“I had fun last night. I never knew you were so kinky.” He added, winking at me.

I glared at him. “Stop acting like this Christopher.”

His friend chuckled. “She’s hot Christopher. Mind if you share?”

Christopher glared. “She’s all mine.”

I glared at both of them. “Stop acting like I’m not here.”

Shay glared at Christopher. “Why don’t you just leave her alone?”

Christopher smirked. “Jealous, Shay?”

Tyra shifted, uncomfortable. “Maybe we should leave.”

I nodded. “Yeah.”

We all stood up leaving Christopher alone with his friends at the coffee shop.

“He’s such a jerk.” I said as we got in the car.

“Are you guys dating or something?” Tyra asked trying sound neutral but it was obvious she didn’t approve.

I shook my head. “Its complicated. Can you take me home?”

She nodded, smiling. “How could I say no to you?”

A few minutes later, I was opening the door to my house. I went straight tot my room and gasped as I saw a shadow sitting on my bed. I quickly turned on the light and sighed in relief as I saw Jay.

“What are you doing here?” I asked, still a bit alarmed.

He sighed. “I’m sorry. I acted like such a jerk yesterday.”

“Why though? I don’t understand why you’d want to be a part of The Sons of Saints. They’re nothing but bad news.” I said truthfully. It didn’t make sense. He seemed like the sweetest guy yet he was dying to be part of something evil.

He sighed. “I cant tell you.”

“Then just leave because I’m tired of being lied to.” I added, motioning him to the door.

He bit his lip, running a hand through his soft brown hair. “I’m an undercover cop, Rose. I have to join Christopher’s gang. His gang has become even more powerful than before and we have to stop him before it’s too late.”

I sighed sitting on the bed. “I had a feeling but I wasn’t sure if it was true. So all of this - whatever it is - was just to get closer to Christopher?”

He shook his head, grabbing my hands. “No. When I saw you at the club I had no idea that you knew him. My feelings for you have nothing to do with him.”

“Your feelings?” I asked, afraid of his answer.

“I like you, Rose. A lot actually.” He smiled at me.

I smiled back, blushing. “I do too. You’re like no one I’ve ever met before.”

He leaned in and kissed me gently. His kiss was sweet and innocent with honest feeling and no lies. I kissed back knowing I could trust him. He wasn’t like anyone in Brooklyn I’ve ever met before. He’s caring and sweet and I wasn’t about to let him go anytime soon.

I pulled back. “Is there anything I can do to help? He needs to be stopped.”

He nodded. “I’ve noticed that he’s weakest when he’s with you. He’s usually very strong and tough but when he’s with you he’s weaker. You’re his weakness, Rose.”

I scoffed. “Right.”

Jay nodded. “It’s true. He has feelings for you, Rose. I need you to use them against him. Pretend to have feelings for him back and find out every one of his tricks. Once you do we can catch him and finally throw him in jail.”

I nodded, still unsure. “I don’t think he has feelings for me but I’ll do it. He deserves it.”

Jay grabbed my hand and kissed it softly. “After this is over you can run away with me. You wont ever have to feel alone ever again. You can take Riley with you. Everything’s going to be alright now Rose.”

I smiled, thinking about the future.
