"What if pigs could fly. Ha! That'll show all the doubters that said, 'when pigs fly!' "

"When I get home I'm going to try and see when the lights turn off in the fridge!"

"I need to do something productive with my life. Like reading.... Tsk, yeah right!! Like that will ever happen!"

Iruka and Mizuki sweatdropped, as I cancelled the jutsu. "Yeah just disregard that."

Iruka chuckled and gave me my new headband. "Congratulations Lily, you are now an official Genin. Good luck on your journey of a ninja. Please try not to be too destructive." He joked.

"Thanks alot, Iruka-sensei!" I said cheerfully, running out of the door. I almost ran over the mysterious boy that was in the class. I've been in a class with him for four years and I never knew his name. Come to think of it, I don't know the names of two thirds of the kids in the class. Crazy right?

My smile was wiped off my face when I saw Naruto on the swing, a gloomy look on his face. I walked over to him ignoring the woman that were talking about him. Those people need to get a life, instead of talking about thirteen year olds. I never understood how people could be so judgemental.

I made my way over to the somber boy, tapping his foot slight to get him to scoot over and letting me sit beside him. "I was actually trying this time."

"You'll get your headband." I whispered to him.

"How do you know?" He asked. I adverted my gaze from my feet to him.

"Because, you're Naruto Uzumaki, future Hokage, the knucklehead that doesn't know how to give up. If you set it in that thick, stubborn head of yours that your going to become a ninja. Then your going to become a ninja." I said, while poking him rougly on his forehead.

"Thanks, Lily.... For being there... You don't really even have to." He said, rubbing the slight sore spot, yet he still smiled. That was one thing about Naruto that I could never forget; his everlasting smile.

"Are you kidding me? Then who would be there to bring light to my life. I mean a life without a crazy best friend is a life I don't want to live." I smiled.

"Sorry to interrupt." A voice came in. I looked up to see Mizuki. "Lily may I speak to Naruto?"

I got up, and gave my friend one more glance. "See you blondie." Then I left, giving Mizuki an odd look. Why does be want to talk to Naruto all of a sudden?

When I woke up, I dressed in my usual ninja attire. It was a green sleeveless shirt with a fishnets shirt underneath, which sleeves went to my elbow. I also had on grey shorts, my weapons pouch on my right thigh, and navy blue ninja shoes. My ninja headband tied securely to my left arm.

Once I stepped out of my apartment, I was met with Naruto who was wearing his own headband. "Look Lily, I got my headband!"

"I don't how you did it Naruto, but I'm not suprise one bit."I said. He always had a way of doing crazy things.

We walked to the Academy together as he told me the epic story of how he got to become a Genin. Yep, he always gets himself in some sort of trouble, doesn't he?

"Only you could do something like that." I commented. He even told me about the ninetail inside of him. I was glad that he trusted me with anything and everything. It was a mutual feeling, and neither of us could argue. He knew he could trust me not to treat him any differently, and that brought me happiness.

Yet it also brought me guilt because I had my own secrets stored, away from someone who trusts me...

We took our usual seats. It was funny to me that we didn't have assign seats, yet we still chose to sit in the same spot. I bet if we did have assigned seats we would complain and argue about it. Typical...

"Sup, Uchiha." He gave me a 'hn' as a reply. Some days his use of vocabulary were better than others. It usually depended on his mood, which almost always looked the same. It didn't bother me, I was used to it.

Ino and Sakura came through the door. "First!" They shouted in unison. I rolled my eyes, those two were like Naruto and Sasuke. Always fighting. But the again, I did the same with Ino under different circumstances.

"Yeah right billboard brow, my foot was a centimeter further!" Ino yelled.

"Ha! You wish Ino-pig!" Sakura yelled back. You can just feel the peaceful atmosphere.

"H-Hey Sakura!" Naruto shouted, blushing at the sight of her. Yep, he had a major crush on Sakura. She always pushed him away but the guy can always dream, right?

Sakura ran over to us. "And one, two, three." I counted. As if on cue Naruto was pushed to the ground.

"H-Hello Sasuke. Can I sit beside you?" Sakura asked, completely ignoring the fact that the seat was taken.

"What am I invisible?" I muttered. I slid onto the empty desk beside Shikamaru, setting myself onto the chair.

"I didn't expect you to move." Shikamaru said.

"What? And get caught up in a fangirl crossfire?" I looked at him as if he had just lost his mind.

"True." He agreed, and we turned back to the entertaining scene in front of us.

"No way that seat it mine!" Ino snapped. Then girl after girl joined the argument, declaring that the seat belonged to them.

Next thing I know Naruto was on top of the desk in a crouched position, glaring at Sasuke. They had a fierce glaring contest, and I knew that this will go wrong in all types of ways.

"Naruto I wouldn't do that if I were you." I spoke up.

"Oh yeah, why not?!" Naruto asked, not tearing away from his glaring competition with Sasuke.

"One, you don't want death by fangirls. And two, that guy behind you is way too clo-" I didn't finish because said guy confirmed my prediction. He accidentally bumped into Naruto, causing the rivals lips to make contact.

I face planted the table. Laughing into the wood. Everyone around me laughed, well everyone except for the girls. So in the end Naruto got beat up, and Sakura got the seat. Idiot.... Yep, he totally got himself into that situation on his own.

Iruka came in and started calling out the teams. "Team Seven, Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno." Naruto cheered while Sakura moped."Sasuke Uchiha." They switched positions. "And because of our odd number of students, Lily Yoshida."

I had very mixed emotions about this. We all had useful skills, but we also had great downfalls.

Naruto was determined and strong, but he was also a rash knucklehead. Sakura was smart, but in strength she was useless and her obsession over Sasuke was a distraction. Sasuke was very skilled, but he was too arrogant for his own good. Then there was me. My Kekei Gekai was feirce, but I had lack of control with my power and actions.

So this team can go in all sorts of directions.

I was up in a tree eating an apple when attention was brought to Sasuke who jumped out of a window. Nope, that's not Uchiha. Then who could it be?.... Do I even have to guess? Naruto would be the only one who would pull off something like this.

Now I had to decide the ultimate choice! Help Sasuke..... or enjoy my apple...... Eh, Uchiha can wait five minutes for me to be done. I shrugged and kept eating my apple.
