My alarm clock went off at exactly 6:00 AM. But I was already awake. I don't get much sleep anymore. Plus, me being in a new house - that's old - is weird. I stared up at the ceiling before sitting up and sliding out of bed.

I took a shower yesterday. Well, I mostly stood there in the water, staring at the tile while thinking. I remember the hot water dripping down my back, and how good that felt. In juvie, we only have five minuet showers with cold water. We didn't have shoes in juvie, so after we got out of the shower, we had to walk barefoot. But when I got out of the shower yesterday, I stepped onto a rug, a warm, clean and furry rug.

I cleaned myself, yet, I still felt dirty. I scrubbed hard and good, but I still felt dirty.

I put on my undergarments, then black jeans, a white V-neck, black converses, and then my black leather jacket. I ran a hand through my hair after I brushed it - which is an old habit. I didn't have a phone, I didn't need one. Not yet, at least.

I looked by the door to see my book-bag filled with school supplies. I picked it up, looking at myself in the mirror. I looked behind me to see a picture of my mom and my brother. Troy. I think Ally and Troy had a thing for each other. I don't know.

I shook my head, opening the door and shutting it, walking down stairs.

I didn't eat breakfast. I usually don't, but I was too nervous to eat. Auntie told me that most of the reports had cleared out, except for the popular local news channel. We lived in Virginia, so there was channel 13 and 3 outside.

I set in the passenger seat of Ally's car. The radio was on, so at least it wasn't completely silent. Auntie made Ally give me a ride. I could tell Ally didn't want to give me ride, so I didn't push her too, but Auntie did.

We pulled into the school parking lot, where other cars were parked. We both set there for a moment, the radio now turned off.

"Al-" I started to say, but she cut me off.

"The office is where you get your schedule," she said. "You'll see it when you go in, it'll be on your first right. Have a good day, Y/N." Ally grabbed her bag and purse, getting out of the car. I sighed, looking through the rear-view window as Ally walked away.

I looked at myself, swallowing as I locked the car from the inside, then exiting it. My bag was over my shoulder, and I could feel eyes on me as I entered the school. I heard whispers. I shook my head, walking into the school with a shaky voice.

The lockers were a pattern of blue and yellow - ugly if you ask me. I hate the color yellow, but I love the color blue. But the combination of blue and yellow makes me sick. On the floor, in the middle of the hallway, was a bruin with a football. Around the bruin was a ring, and inside the ring was the school's name; Western Branch High School.

I looked up, and Ally was right. I saw the office right away. I walked into it, slowly making my way to the front desk. The secretary looked up.

"Uh, hi. I'm new here - Y/N L/N," I said, and she made a disgusted face. I swallowed, "I need my schedule." She scoffed, but none the less, handed me my schedule. I muttered a thank you before leaving. I needed to get out of there, she was judging me, and I don't blame her.

I could feel the stares. I could hear the whispers. I could hear them talking about me. The other students - the other kids. I ignored them, though my heart is beating out of my chest, and looked down at my schedule. My first period was English, so I began to walk there. I followed the signs, soon finding my way there. Though, I am late.
