••• Only A Mother Can

Like a feather your caress came so softly
Your warm embrace drives my fears away
You brought me peace like the tranquil sea
With you I feel no weary

At times I let you down
Not realizing without you I'm not what I am
Like a heavy load you carried me
Just to keep me trail the right way

No one can alleviate every pain I feel but you
Only you have the greatest compassion that's so true
No matter how much I've done wrong
Your back still has never turned

Only a mother can accept me for who I am
Others may leave me behind which you can't
I'm truly blessed to have you, Mom
You just don't know how grateful I am
