「 3 : New (Predicted) Teammates 」

[Name] Arfeardell sits up and stretches happily, yawning a little. She rubs her eyes and smacks her lips together, smiling brightly. Then she realized,

She wasn't gonna be having a great day.

She woke up, finding most people gone, mostly noticing Recks & Tricksi who were apparently kind enough to wait for her. "You guys didn't wake me up?!" [Name] had screeched, looking around, having a panicked look. Recks sweat-dropped, "Nobody, and I mean nobody, could wake you up." He said, scratching his head. Tricksi nodded, sweat-dropping also as she recalls how she tried to wake [Name] up. "Not even me."

[Name] jumped to her feet, running to a random direction. She returned to her friends who were patiently waiting for her to come back, [Name]'s expression was very lost and confused. "Wh.. Where do I go again?" She mumbles, playing with her fingers, being a bit too sleepy to remember what she had familiarized the day before. "There," Tricksi pointed and began walking with her brother to lead [Name]. "We'll go with you." She thanks them as they all speed-walk to do what they (mostly she) needed to do.

She never in her life moved so fast to brush her teeth, pee, fix her sleeping bag, eat and get her weapons out of her locker before.

That's how [Name] ended up—slightly late—on the platform that was on Beacon Cliff for initiation.

Ozpin, holding his signature mug, begins to speak. "For years you have trained to become warriors. And today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest." Professor Goodwitch takes her turn to talk, "Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams. Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates.. today."

Everyone near Ruby could hear her question it with a small scared noise.

Ozpin continues, "These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well." Ruby lets out another scared noise. "That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next 4 years."

Now, definitely, everyone could hear Ruby's terrified yell.

"See? I told you!" Nora says, grinning and placing her hand on Ren's shoulder. "After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path, or you will die."

[Name], who was beside Jaune, hears him laugh and swallow nervously.

"You will be graded for the duration of your initiation. But our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one, and return to the top of the cliff. We will regard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?" Ozpin asks and Jaune immediately answers. "Yeah, um, sir—" Ozpin pretends not to hear him, [Name] stifles a laugh. "Good! Now, take your positions."

Everyone starts to take position, except Jaune. Jaune's hand is still raised. [Name]'s shoulders shake from trying to hold in her laughter, taking position as well. "Uh, sir? I've got, um, a question."

Weiss gets ejected first.

"So, this landing strategy thing, uh, wh-what is it? You're, like, dropping us off or something?" Ozpin finally answers him, "No. You will be falling."
