Panic

He told me it was like a sustained state of free fall.

He told me he needed more.

He told me the mutual feeling and I got lost in his simplicity.

He told me I was hurting him, I told him I hurt too. He didn't listen.

He listened.

Choking on my own air.
I had one escape.
I did this to myself.
I asked for this.
I sealed myself in.

But then I kept choking,
I let my lips turn blue.
I let myself die.
I let it keep hurting.
I listened.
He didn't.
He couldn't even hear himself.

He told me it was like free fall.

I found myself falling.

So this is free fall
This is breaking
This screaming until my veins start shaking.

Except no noise escapes because
theres no way out.

This is free fall
This is looking for an exit sign
Telling everyone and acting fine.

Mind scattered, return to starting time.
Or my exit sign
Or needing to just end it all.
I can't keep loosing my mind.

This is free fall.
This is panic.

Fall into me
I'll fall into you
One of the things we aren't allowed to do.

He asks of me,
and you ask too.
But remarkably,
less than you.

Free fall.
Find me there.
Catch me if you really care.

Free fall
Free fall.
I venture farther than he dares.

He hurts.
But you are so,
Simple.

I can't.
I can't.

Spinning.
Please.
Let.
Me.
Fall.
