"Or not!" I said, laughing awkwardly. He really hated the idea of me going there. He didn't need to say it to know it. It was shown all over his face.
"I'm sorry." He said, looking at the ground and I just chuckled awkwardly. I had nothing to say. Maybe I asked for too much.
"Of course, the mysterious place of the star champion." I chuckled, trying to hide my disappointment.
"Do you have anywhere else--"
"It's really you." A tall boy with thick eyebrow and thick lips, narrow eyes stopped in front of us suddenly that I almost crashed into him, but Jungkook pulled me by the wrist backward away from him.
"Oh! Junheo." I felt Jungkook muscles tensing before letting go of my hand.
I recognized the guy standing in front of us with a snobbish smile over his face. He was the guy who was going to have a match with Jungkook in the semi-final match next week. He had mean eyes despite how good looking he was.
"You are on a date instead of practicing?" Junheo scoffed, letting a sarcastic chuckle. "Do you have that much confidence?"
I was about to say something when Jungkook stood in front of me, hiding me behind him, but he didn't deny that we were on a date or confirmed it.
I peeped my head to the side, so I could watch what was going on. It seemed like their rivalry turned them into enemies. Jungkook wrapped his arm over his chest as he said, "I don't have much time for you. What do you want?"
"I'm just worried about you." He said, shrugging his shoulders. "Because I'm going to destroy you soon."
"Just worry about yourself." Jungkook said, reaching for my hand as he dragged me, passing just next to Junheo.
We only took two steps until we stopped again when Junheo said, "I'm curious what will happen when the rumors around you go to the media? They seemed to like you a lot."
Letting go of hand, I didn't find Jungkook beside me as he grabbed the guy from his shirt tightly. His hand tightened into a fist, but he never hit him.
My heart hammering fast against my chest as my hands starting to shake. I was scared that Jungkook would really hit the guy.
"Junheo! I'm warning you. Let's meet fairly in the battle ring."
"Are you acting as a hero because of her?" Junheo smirked, nodding at me. His eyes were filled with hatred toward Jungkook, which scared me. "Hey. Be a man and act as who you really are. The rumor seemed to be kind of true." He pulled Jungkook closer to him as he whispered something in his ear, making Jungkook push him away from him firmly, sending the guy a few steps backward.
"See you Jungkook." Junheo smirked, before turning and walked away.
Jungkook froze in his place, just watching Junheo as he vanished into a small alley. His fist was clenched tightly beside him that it turned white as the blood left it.
I walked slowly toward him and held his forearm as my other hand reached for his clenched fist trying to open it.
I felt him relax under my touch. He didn't pull away and I could feel his eyes staring at my skull. I didn't know why I was doing this, but I really hated it when he was angry or sad or mad. I just always wanted to see that beautiful and cute smile over his face.
Pulling away, I looked at him. He was looking at me with dull scary eyes, which made me fear him a little.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
I wasn't going to ask him what Junheo meant. I wasn't going to ask him why he got so angry or what Junheo told him. I will kill my curiosity for now. What are you, Jungkook?
"No." He said, honestly.
"Don't worry, you can win over him."
He shook his head. "He is easy to beat."
"Then what is wrong?"
"It is hard to control my feelings anymore." He said, his hand reached out to my cheek and my eyes widened at his action. Stopping half away before even touching me, he clenched it back to his side looking away.
"I'm sorry. You really look like her. I must have gone crazy."
A slight feeling of disappointed grew in my chest, turning my whole mood upside, down. So I was just a girl who looked like some other girl.
"Your girlfriend?" I asked, not wanting to hear his answer.
"She probably doesn't want to see me again. I bet she hates me and actually I deserve it."
I was about to say something when my phone started to ring. I gave Jungkook a look, before reaching for it. My eyes widened as I saw the ID caller and suddenly I felt so guilty. My heart squeezed in my chest. The whole time I was with Jungkook, I totally forgot about him.
"Answer him." Jungkook said, giving me a nod. "He will be worried if you didn't."
"oh! Jimin." I answered, giving Jungkook an apologized look.
"Where the hell are you?"
