"I thought you didn't like me." I said, looking at him. Why is my heart beating so fast?
"I don't hate you." He said, his hand reaching for his head as his fingers buried in the soft lockets of his hair. "I just don't lose another friend."
"Lose another friend?"
Jungkook looked at me with alert eyes as if he said something he shouldn't have said. And my curiosity was killing me. Oh my god, how much I hated it, I really wanted to know what happened with him.
But I resisted my question to come out of my mouth, because after what happened to me and my scary dreams, I learnt not to force someone to say something they didn't want to say. I sometimes hated it when Jimin made me tell him about my scary dreams. But he was my only source of comfort. He was always there for me and he understood me the most. But sometimes, I just wanted to keep those for myself.
"Ah! It's okay. I understand if you didn't want to talk about it." I said, feeling the atmosphere suddenly turning awkward.
How much I hate this awkward silence. I hated it. I just wanted to keep talking with Jungkook without stopping.
"It isn't that I don't want to talk--"
"No, it's really fine." I said.
But what Jungkook said next really surprised me and I didn't really understand what he meant by this. "You changed, Minyoung." He said it as if he had always known me. I couldn't help but feel shocked. I ignored it, took it as if he was just being nice.
"Eih~ don't act as if you know me." I chuckled, waving my hand in the air.
Jungkook just gave the same sad smile as he nodded and took a bit of his ice cream.
"Ah! And thank you for this." I said, pointing at ice cream.
His smile brightened, showing a trace of dimple on his cheek. He really was so handsome and pretty when smiling.
"You're welcome, Minyoung."

After we finished eating the ice cream, Jungkook and I just had a walk around the area. We weren't really doing anything in particular, it was just that we couldn't go back to school since the gates would be closed and it was the middle of the school day. And I couldn't go home or else my mother would be worried and she wouldn't stop scolding me for skipping school with a boy that I didn't know.
Well, he was a classmate and a champion star, but still I didn't really know him.
But I'm getting to know him. I looked at him and smiled. He was beautiful from all the views and really good looking and so tall.
I was surprised when Jungkook turned and locked eyes with me. I looked away immediately, feeling the heat rushing into my cheeks.
"What?" He chuckled and the sound of his laughter made me smile. I liked it when he was out of his mysterious aura.
"Nothing." I shrugged, not looking at him.
"Do you want to go somewhere?" He asked and I looked at him with wide eyes. He cleared his throat as he said. "I mean, we have time. Is there any place you want to go?"
I nodded. There was one particular place that I was curious about ever since I was in the hospital.
Jungkook smiled. "Where?"
"Your practice room. I really want to watch you practicing."
The smile over Jungkook's face fell immediately and I noticed the change in his face expression. It became duller and paler.
