Elsa's POV

Another year has come, another year of pain. Why does it have to come?

"Elsa!" someone called from behind me. She was giddy and jolly. No one else but Rapunzel- my little sister.

"Hey Rap! What's up?" I replied. She stop to hug me and said, "Good luck in high school. I know you can do better." I smiled at her and said, "You too Rap. Have fun in middle school." she smiled and left to her bus. I waved to her goodbye and walk my way to school.

Since freshman, I never had a friend. Maybe because I was an introvert, and because I don't like extroverts that much. Finding a friend is hard. I think it's much better to be alone.

A car horn sounded as I stop. There on the street was a clean, white, car- I don't know what model it was- and the driver's window open up.

"Want a lift?" said the person. It was Jack, my brother. I smiled, nodded, and hop in as he unlock the door of the passenger seat. "So, Mom allowed you to use this?" I started as he started the engine.

"Yah. She said that the keys will be mine for the whole school year and I'll get the car once I graduate." He replied. I look at him and said, "So.. are you excited to graduate?"

"Not really. It is after all just the start of the year." he replied. I giggled. "Well.. good luck at junior year. It's the second to the best year." Jack added as he parked the car. I unbuckled the seat belt and left.

He drove to the parking lot as I made my way in the school. I didn't like it that much. Everyday that you get in, it has to be noisy. Gossips, news, chats, whatever you call it, everyone has to be loud. I do appreciate a loud discussion but not where your voice is echoing.

Then someone tap my shoulder. I look behind me to find no one then to the other side and there was Jack. I smiled at him and jokingly punch his shoulder.

We continue walking and already done what we needed to do. The last thing left is going to class. Since he's older than me for one year, we have a different level, different schedules, and lockers far away from each other. That just means I'm alone from morning bell to dismissal.

So, being the loner, I walk alone in the halls while dragging my feet on the ground. I'm not after all happy that school started again. It just feels like hell. Teachers are torturing us with mountains of home works, hard exams, hectic schedules, and they still give grades that aren't worth it. Especially Mr. Weaselton, or however you pronounce it. He is the worst teacher ever. It's just confusing that he won a lot of teacher awards that doesn't fit him.

Like Parent-like teacher award. It's for teachers who treat there students like their own kids, but in reality he is so strict and scary. So, to stop it all, some of the populars joke around about him. Which I find pretty funny but I hide it.

"Uhm.. excuse me." I turn around and saw a girl with red frizzy hair. She held a book on her right arm and held a book bag on her left arm. "I'm new here and I don't know where the girls' restroom is." She said in a Scottish accent. She must be from Scotland.

I smiled, closed my locker and lead her to the restroom. Being the nice me, I offered to grab her stuff while she does her business.

It felt awkward that I'm staying here. I pretty much don't stand by inside here. I just do my business, fix my hair a bit, and leave.

A flush-like sound of the water sound up followed by the creaking stall door. The girl came out and wash her hand on the sink. I watch her as she dries her hand with a paper towel.

"Thank you, for carrying them and for leading me the way." she started and took her stuff from me. She then extended her arm. "The name's Merida Haddock, lad." I gladly took it and state my name.

"Nice meeting you, Elsa,"

"You too." I replied and plastered a smile on my face. For the first time, I finally found a friend. We left the restroom and walk the halls. After all, there's still a good twenty minutes before the bell.

I found a lot about her that just complements what we like and what we dislike. All of our schedules are the same, our family is almost the same, she has an older brother and an older sister, while I have an older brother and a younger sister.

I guess this year would be a bit better.
