Jaden pov
"Where have you been?!" I yelled through the phone.
"I'll be home in a minute." Audrianna has been gone all day and I was the one who had to stall father from going into her room. I put my phone down, walking into the main room.
"Is Audrianna done studying yet?" Father asked, as I stopped in my tracks.
"Um not really, like I said, it’s a really big test."
"Well tell her to take a break; she’s been in that room all day. It’s not good for her."
"Father, just let her study. I’m sure she'll be down soon." Father didn’t reply.
I walked into the kitchen, going straight for the left-over pizza. I tip-toed back into Audrianna’s room, just as I walked in, I spotted her. She was struggling to get through the window. I rolled my eyes, walking over to her window, helping her in.
"Are you crazy?" I whisper-shouted when she got through the window.
"Ugh, calm down.” she said
"Calm down? Father has been on my case all day about you! I told him you were studying."
"Well let me go tell him I’m done studying, right?" Audrianna said matter-of factly. We both walked out. I went into my room, and Audrianna went downstairs. I lay down on my bed, a bit too dramatically. But after spending a day with father just asking me question, I was happy to be alone. I was only able to see Harry for an hour. Usually, I would have stayed much longer. But today, we almost got caught. We were talking, when I heard leaves ruffling and a light voice. The only thing I know is, whoever they were, it was definitely a werewolf. I told Harry I had to leave, in case they say us or heard us. Sneaking around with Harry is extremely risky but I’m willing to take that risk. Vroom Vroom. I searched for my phone. Once I found it, I unlocked it and read the message. Meet me at our park, its important! I replied, and grabbed my bag. On my way down the steps outside, Audrianna caught up to me.
"Hey where you going?"
"Just going to take a walk..." I said
"You better not are going to meet that dog." she spat. I restricted myself from speaking about Harry. I shook my head.
"Just a walk." I whispered before walking away. I arrived at the park, go to our tree. Nothing. Suddenly I felt a presence behind me. I slowly turn around expecting Harry. Instead, the was a very angry wolf. Nope, scratch that. Extremely angry! His eyes went from hazel to angry red almost instantly. I back up, until I was up against the tree.
"So you’re Jaden?" This is it. I’m going to die. I closed my eyes, waiting for something to happen. But all I felt was a heavy breath against my face.
"You really think you’re so sneaky? You and Harry?" I swallowed the lump in my throat. He sucked in a breath to speak, but didn’t. I opened my eyes and say Harry on top of the wolf.
"You have some nerve Zayn!"
"Nah man, you do. A Salvatore. Your enemy! Wait till your Father hears ab-"
"You won’t say shit! Clear?!" Zayn, well I guess that’s his name, just looked through Harry to me.
"Watch yourself, Salvatore. Because I’m sure your sister wouldn’t be so happy about this." He said with so much disgust. Emphasizing the word "sister". But my sister already knows...
"Don’t you dare lay a finger on her? I don’t care if you’re my cousin, I'll kill you." Harry took Zayn attention.
"I'll love to see you try." I could see Harry clenching his fists. As Zayn walked away, Harry approached me. Hugging me in his warm embrace. He kissed the top of my head.
"Don’t worry; I won’t let anything bad happen to you. I love you." I looked up; surprised he said it out loud.
"Love you too."
"But I need one thing from you.” he said
"And that is?” I asked
"Ask your father to end the feud. That way we can finally be together without having all these problems. Just imagine, we would be able to see each other whenever we want." I was taken back a bit.
"But we already see each other whenever we want."
"Yea, but please? Just ask if he can call it off." I stepped back away from Harry.
"Why me? Why can’t you?" He chuckled, like it was obvious why he couldn’t.
"Because my father didn’t start all this!" That got my blood boiling.
"My father isn’t the one that killed your mother! My mother!"
"Dammit Jaden, just tell him to call it off!"
"No, why should I? You obviously don’t-"
"Don’t what?! Just call the stupid feud off!" At this point we were basically yelling at each other now.
"You’re just like every other wolf. I can’t believe I was so stupid." I whispered, more to myself, before running off. Tears making their way down my face.
"Jaden! Jaden!!" I ran faster, wanting to get away from him. He didn’t understand. He was being so stubborn, he didn’t care how I felt. He didn’t care about my mother, how I have to spend the rest of my life without her. He doesn’t get it!
"Jaden!! Stop Running!" Harry somehow caught up to me, stopping me in the middle of the street.
"Get away from me." I muttered coldly.
"Why are you some damn stubborn?!"
"Let me go!" I tried to push Harry away, but he didn’t budge. Finally Harry dropped his arms from my shoulders to his sides, as I walked past him. I walked home as fast as I could, and as soon as Harry was out of sight, I let myself cry. I never cry in front of people. And that included Harry. I can’t believe I let myself fall for him. A werewolf! How was I so stupid? How did I think he was different? My phone wouldn’t stop ringing, and as I neared my bedroom window, I shut off my phone. Not wanting to attract attention. Finally through my window, I opened my door to see if anyone was home.
"Hello?" No answer, and with that okay, I broke down. Lay on my bed, a pillow covering my tear-stained face. I must have fallen asleep, because I woke up to complete darkness.
"Jaden! Jaden, open the window!" I squinted my sleepy eyes. I could have sworn I heard-
"Jaden! I’m not leaving until you hear me out!" Harry? I jumped from my bed, basically running towards my window. I opened the window, peering my head out.
"Harry!? What are you doing here?! You’re going to get killed!"
"Jaden just hear me out please." Harry said climbing up the stone wall near my window.
"Why should I? Obviously you don’t care about me at all!"
"What are you talking about?! Of course I do!"
"I should have listened to my sister. She told me you would do this."
"Do what?! Listen Jaden, she doesn’t know about us. Nobody does. So they can’t tell us anything. The love we have is special, and I wouldn’t trade you for anything in the world.” Knock knock.
"Oh shit." I silently cursed.
"Jaden? Let me in." My sister’s voice silenced both me and Harry.
"Hold on!" I called out.
"She can’t see you here." I whispered to Harry. Before we could both move, the door opened behind me.
"Jaden." Audrianna said in disappointment
