Riley, hurry up we're 2 hours late!" Harper scolded.

I quickly put on my flats, and was ready to leave. I had no idea why I agreed to attending that party, it would be my first high school party. I was beyond terrified. I knew I shouldn't be scared, after all, what could go wrong? It was only a party. I planned to have fun, and be a 'normal teenager' like Harper quoted.

"Riley, you look hot!" Harper said glancing over at me, from head to toes.

She was the one who picked out my short right red dress, did my full on makeup, and curled my ombré hair. I admit, she did manage to make me look somewhat decent. Even I couldn't realize myself when I looked in the mirror.

"Thanks Harp, so do you." I said smiling at my best friend. She was wearing a short black dress with heels that totally looked gorgeous on her. She had somewhat managed to straighten her overly curly and frizzy hair.

"I hope Connor will say the same." She said referring to her boyfriend of 8 months.

"I'm sure he will." I replied, giving her a small smile.

"Alright let's go!" She said enthusiastically, and we headed downstairs.

"You girls have fun!" My mom yelled from the kitchen.

"We will!" We both simultaneously said before heading out.

We used Harper's car, and a drove to Parker's house. We reached his house, the music was blasting, we could hear it from inside the car. We got out, and started walking over to the enormous house. There were a lot of people, everyone was dancing and drinking. It all looked fun, besides the fact that I was very uncomfortable. I wasn't used to this kind of environment at all.

I awkwardly walked inside the house beside Harper, it didn't take long for Conner to walk over to us.

"Riley, I'll meet you later okay?" Harper said and I nod understandingly, then she walks away with Conner blending in with the crowd and I lose sight of them.

I head over to the table where the drinks where, and pour myself some juice, praying it wasn't spiked. Now that Harper was gone, I felt like a complete loner, standing in the corner.

I was about to head over and talk to someone, but suddenly I heard the sounds of a siren. That's when hell broke down.
