"On the count of three, one, two THREE."He shouted as we dived off the inflatable raft.
We both come up from water at the same time.
"Not a good swimmer."
"Here let me help." He said swimming closer.
Oh my God, hormones don't fail me now.
He wrapped his arms around my waist supporting me from behind.
"Kay now you have kick a little harder." Jace says.
I kick hard while at the same time relaxing.
"It's working." I say.
"Well duh."
"It's starting to get dark let's head back."
"Right." He says.
We get back into the raft and start to row back to shore.
"Well that as something different." He mumbles.
He said it, not me.
We quickly get back to camp and find my mom and auntie eating tacos.
"Want a taco?" Mom asks.
"Yes." Me and Jace reply to her at the same time.
As were getting our tacos mom starts an interesting topic.
"So Jace how did you and Ariel meet?"
"My mom and I decided greet them withing 30 mintues of them being at their new house."
"Do you like her?" She questions.
"Mother!"
"What, just trying to start a fire."
"If you know what I mean." She raises her brow.
"Your so obnoxious sometimes, I swear." I say in tears running to the tent.
I meet the duvet and cry my eyes out.
Stupid Mom, Stupid Jace, Stupid Life
I suddenly feel a warm presence and soon after familiar arms around my waist.
"Hey, it's okay, don't feel embarassed." He gently whispers in my ear.
"Hey look at me." He commands softly.
I slowly raise my head and sob rack through my body.
"I like you too, more than a friend." He says.
"You do." I ask.
"Of course."
"Even when I look like a crying tomato." I laugh.
He gently nods with a smile.
And before you know he goes in for a kiss.
