You are My Home (Ally and Stevie)

4. Happy birthday Ally! (They said)

"Why don't you just join Pab Records again?" Ally asked me when I was stressing too much on updating my resume and my portfolio. "You won't even need to submit anything."

"I am only an investor at Pab's. If I wanted to join, I would still need to sell myself to them," I answered. "I want to get into Clitter Photography Studio."

"Okay then. Let me know if you need a driver-slash-personal assistant-slash-model." Ally posed a fierce look and oh god she was oozing hot. "I won't be working this week so I am all yours."

"Ha-ha. Thank you but I can manage. Take this as your time-off and relax."

"But I want to spend it with you."

"I promise to be home early."

I was planning a surprise for Ally and I need a believable excuse not to be home most of the day. We did not get to celebrate Ally's birthday last year when I was away so I want to make up for it too.

I could feel Stevie was up to something for the past week. It was probably for my birthday but I tried not to get too exited about it.

"Stevie, stop neglecting our relationship and come cuddle with me," I told Stevie. She was busy writing something.

"Give me two minutes, babe," she responded.

I dozed off and was not sure what time Stevie joined me in bed. The next day, I found a letter beside my phone.

"Dear Penguin,

Happy birthday, my love! Join me outside for breakfast and I will tell you all about your surprise.

I love you so much!

- Stevie"

"Good morning, gorgeous!" Stevie said as I got out of the bedroom. She gave me a kiss.

For a second there I thought there would be a grand surprise. But I snapped out of it because I realized waking up next to Stevie every morning is the best surprise life has been giving me everyday.

"I need you to shower and put on comfortable clothes," Stevie said as we were clearing up the dining table.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked.

"That is the surprise."

So I showered and even washed my hair.

"Are you ready?" Stevie asked.

"Let's go!" I answered.

"Here is your first clue."

She handed me an envelope that kinda looked like The Amazing Race clue.

"Enter your favorite room and you will find a black chest. Get your next clue before it freezes," I read out aloud.

As I entered our mini office, I found a mini fridge! I opened it and found the second clue.
