You're gonna sing the words wrong

I just wanna, I just wanna know

If you're gonna, if you're gonna stay

I just gotta, I just gotta know

I can't have it, I can't have it any other way

I swear she's destined for the screen

Closest thing to Michelle Pfeiffer that you've ever seen, oh

Lady, running down to the riptide

Taken away to the dark side

I wanna be your left hand man

I love you when you're singing that song and

I got a lump in my throat 'cause

You're gonna sing the words wrong

Oh Lady, running down to the riptide

Taken away to the dark side

I wanna be your left hand man

I love you when you're singing that song and

I got a lump in my throat 'cause

You're gonna sing the words wrong

Oh lady, running down to the riptide

Taken away to the dark side

I wanna be your left hand man

I love you when you're singing that song and

I got a lump in my throat 'cause

You're gonna sing the words wrong

And I got a lump in my throat 'cause

You're gonna sing the words wrong.."

Back to the story!

"We should do a cover of that for YouTube!" Shawn smiled widely.

"I know!!!" I replied just as eagerly.

We played 2 more songs, and finally, the bathroom door opened, revealing Aaliyah.

I ran to the bathroom with all my clothes in hand, just in time to shut the door in Shawn's face. "Yeah! I beat you!" I yelled through the door. I heard faint laughter from the other side.

I grabbed my beats pill in my bathroom, and connected it to my phone, putting my music on shuffle and repeat.

Just as I got in the shower with the water running down my whole body, 'A Little Too Much' began playing.

I mentally facepalmed myself. The speakers were on maximum volume too. How embarrassing.

In the middle of my shower, I unconsciously sang along; loudly. It was at the end of the song that I realized what I was doing. I'm mortified.

After my shower, I brushed my teeth, got dressed, then put on some chapstick, and a bit of eyeliner and mascara. Then I took my phone, and hairdryer and I walked out of my bathroom.

The first thing I saw when I walked out, was Shawn sitting on my office chair, with his back facing me.

When he noticed I was back, he turned the chair facing me; quite dramatically, may I add.

"I didn't know you liked listening to my songs in the shower," He said with a smirk etched on his face.

"Shut up. It was on shuffle," I defended.

That shut him up, but he still laughed a little.

Once all of us were done getting ready, we made our way to Aunt Maddie's white BMW.

Aaliyah called shotgun, so I ended up sitting in the back. Next to Shawn. Which to be honest,  I'm not  complaining about-- at all.

Aaliyah and Aunt Maddie jumped right in their own conversation. I took that time to block Harry's number from my phone, Making sure it was really blocked.

I was about to put my phone back in my pocket, when Shawn stopped me.

"Wait. Hailee, I just realized, I never got your phone number. Can I have it? Like, just in case you get lost later," He said while scratching the back of his neck.

"I didn't even realize that! Here," I replied, handing him my phone with my number on it.

He smiled and tapped my number into his phone.

When he was about to put the contact name, he tilted his phone away from me.

I rolled my eyes at him.

"My turn! Let me see your number," I asked.

He handed me his phone with his number on it. I tapped it in. Then when I had to put the contact name in. I copied his previous actions. I tilted my phone away from him.

I put his name in as  "Muffin Man". I grinned unknowingly at the name.

I heard a phone camera click from Shawn. My head snapped to him immediately.

He turned a dark red once we made eye contact.

"Oh- Uh- I was taking a picture of you for y-your contact name," He reasoned, stuttering; his face still awfully red.

I lifted my phone, and took a picture of his embarrassed face.

I smirked at him and looked at the picture. When the picture came up on the screen, I burst out laughing.

His eyes were wide open, with his mouth hung open as well. His cheeks were a flaming shade of red. The picture was perfect!

He tried to grab the phone from me, but I shoved it in my back pocket before he could reach it. Just in time, the car halted to a stop in front of the ice skating rink.

Aaliyah unbuckled her seatbelt first, and the rest of us followed.

I suddenly got anxious. I've never gone Ice skating before. I was about to in Central Park once, but my Dad bailed on me. Then again, I was too scared to go alone, and all my friends didn't want to go.

Shawn got out of the car and held the door open for me. I roll my eyes playfully as I slide over to his side and step out the car, thanking him.

He smiles a lopsided smile and mumbles a "No problem,"

We all walk into the rink area. Aaliyah pulling Aunt Maddie along with her.

Shawn draped his arm around my shoulder casually, earning another eye roll from me.

Once we got up to the counter, we all told the worker our sizes.

While we were putting on the skates, Shawn asked if I've ever skated before.

"Actually, No. So you might need to teach me. I'm really clumsy too, so I'm sorry in advance," I told him truthfully.

He laughed and nodded his head.

After I made sure my skates were secure, we started to walk to the rink, with Shawn's arm helping me walk.

"Here we go," I whispered to myself.
