CHAPTER TEN

Eventually, bumigay din si Agatha kay Reeve pagkatapos ng tanghalian. But it took a lot of "convincing" before Reeve was able to make her surrender. Nanunukso lang din naman si Agatha at gusto niyang makita kung hanggang saan kayang magtimpi ni Reeve. Partially, she succeeded and they made love all day.

The next day, Agatha went back to Anderson Auberge. Nandoon pa kasi ang mga gamit niya. Dapat ay kagabi siya babalik para makapagpalit ng damit. But, Reeve didn't let her go. Nasa penthouse lang sila buong araw at magdamag...doing their honeymoon. Pagkagising naman niya kaninang umaga ay hindi na niya ito naabutan dahil late na siyang nagising. Alam niyang may mahahalaga itong meeting ngayong araw.

Tapos na siyang makaligo nang mag-ring ang kanyang cellphone. Kinuha niya iyon sa ibabaw ng kama niya at agad na sinagot.

"Hello?"

"Agatha."

"Good morning, Reeve!" masiglang bati niya sa asawa.

"Why did you left? Nasaan ka ngayon?" parang naiinis na tanong nito.

"Bumalik lang ako dito sa Anderson. I need to change my clothes. Babalik naman ako later. Sabay tayong maglunch?" sabi niya habang hinuhubad ang tapis na tuwalya. She bowed her head and wrapped the towel up around her hair using her one hand.

"May isa pa 'kong scheduled meeting later. Late lunch will do."

"Ah, okay. Nasaan ka pala ngayon?"

"At my room. I'm expecting na maabutan kita rito. But, you're not here that's why I called you."

She chuckled. "Akala mo, ikaw lang puwede mang-iwan, ha?" biro niya. "Oh, well, see you, later. I need to hang-up. Magbibihis pa'ko."

"What are you wearing?" tanong nito. Halata sa tono nito na nakangisi ito sa kabilang linya.

"I just said na magbibihis pa lang ako. I'm wearing nothing," simpleng sagot niya habang namimili nang undergarments sa closet.

"Really?" he asked playfully.

Napakunot-noo siya sa tono nito. Then, she just realized what she just said. Natawa siya.

"Naughty, aren't we, Mr. Monteverde?"

"Well, I'm just expecting that you were here and would give me a 'breakfast' before going on my next meeting. Kaso, nandyan ka," nanunuksong sabi nito.

Napangiti siya. "Breakfast? I think nakakain ka naman na," she innocently said. "Pero, kung hindi pa... why not come here, loverboy? Hindi pa kasi ako nakakapagbihis, eh. Help me, perhaps?"

"Okay, then. Open the door."

Then, she heard a knock on her door.

"You said you were in your room?" gulat na sabi niya.

"I can lie, can't I?" Then she heard another knock.

Iiling-iling na in-end niya ang call at binaba ang cellphone sa kama. She wore her bathrobe and headed towards the door.

Pagbukas niya ng pinto ay nandoon nga ito. Reeve's standing firmly wearing his business suit and one hand in his pocket. Her gorgeous husband never failed to catch her breath away and make her heart beat fast.

"You're not wearing nothing," sabi nito habang pumapasok ng pinto. Ito na rin mismo ang nagsara at nag-lock niyon. "You're wearing a robe."

Ngumiti siya rito. "Well, you don't expect me to open the door wearing nothing, right? Pa'no kung may makakita?" Tumalikod siya at bumalik sa kanyang closet. "But underneath this robe, I'm really wearing nothing."
