Stacee Cumberland kept rewinding the tape.  She could not believe what had transpired days ago.  It seemed surreal.  In all her years in law enforcement, this was something that she could not believe.  This was messy, and it would not sit well with anyone.  She reached for her cellphone to call Capshaw.

"Capshaw"  A gruff voice said.

"Cap, you need to come in."

"Already in the building."

"Wha- Where?"

"In the comms room."  Capshaw hung up his phone and made his way toward his desk  "What's goin on?"

"This."  Cumberland handed him a set of earphones.

Capshaw listened to the whole tape, rewound it in certain places, and listened to it again, and closed his eyes.

"The personell on scene didn't stand a chance. What about the pursuit?"

"The chase vehicles and the chopper were taken out."  Laverne Jensen said.

"Jesus!!"  These guys must've have massive firepower!!!  Just who in the hell were these guys?"

"Unknown." Jensen said.

"Whereabouts?"

"Unknown.  Last known location was heading west on I-20.  Does Donnelly know?"

"Yeah.  Briefed him on it when it occurred."  Capshaw reached for his phone and called Donnelly.

"Hello?"

"Good Morning sir."

"Good Morning Capshaw."  Donnelly said gruffly.  "What have you got?"

"Nothing new from when I briefed you on the night it happened, and we were discussing possible theories, none which were substantiated.  However, I have listened to the tape, and the police dispatches and have come with something that may or may not suprise you."

"Go on"

"Okay."  Capshaw said while motioning Cumberland and Jensen over.  "Remember when you wanted to know the nature and objective of this raid ?"

"Yes."

"I think that whatever was at that train depot was worth it enough to risk the party or parties involved to risk open and deliberate engagement with APD and the ATF.  From what my sources tell me, ATF ADP had advance knowledge of those guys coming.   They took out a significant amount of personnel and vehicles.  They even took out a pursuit chopper in close support.."

"Any other conclusions you can gather?"  Donnelly asked.

"This was almost like a smash and grab.  They knew what they were going after, and they knew how to get what they were lookin' for but what gets me is the direction of travel."

"Why would that be important?"  Jensen asked.

"They are travelling somewhere,  More than likely near a major shipping port, probably near the Gulf Coast.  I willing to bet some near Louisiana or Mississippi."

"Why?"  Cumberland asked.

""Because what they took outta that train depot will probably have to be transported by boat, and  what better way for discretion.  A ship captain would normally ask questions, unless he was paid a significant amount of money not to ask about the cargo."

"Hmmmm.  This may coincide with some intel Sean told me."

"What might be that?"  Capshaw asked pensively.
