"Hi," I said cautiously. "I'm Elsa, Queen of Arendelle."

More wolf whistles.

Temporarily closing my eyes, I reopened them as if I didn't hear anything and continued. "My ability is quite similar to Periwinkle's only much more advanced." Although my tone was polite, I forced as much emphasis as I could in the word "much," my narrowed eyes focused on Periwinkle's furious face. I heard some of the boys laugh, but unlike their whistling, this didn't bother me.

"My abilities are fueled by my emotions," I continued, "and I transmit them through my hands."

I demonstrated this by creating a burst of crystals in the ceiling, and a small shower of snow slowly drifted from the ceiling, which soon disappeared. I couldn't resist but smirk at Periwinkle through the applause I received.

As I was leaving the class with Rapunzel, a new voice greeted me.

"Hello, Elsa!"

I turned and saw Prince Naveen, who was giving me such a flirtatious grin that I almost couldn't resist the urge to reject him right then and there.

"Hi, Naveen," I said politely, giving a cold smile which he didn't notice.

"I quite enjoyed your presentation," Naveen said. "It was rather beautiful, no?"

"Thank you," I said, ignoring Rapunzel stifling her giggles.

I escaped from Naveen by retreating into the girl's restroom. As I was opening my bag of makeup, a voice behind me sneered, "Hey, Ice Witch."

I turned, already knowing who it was, but I was unpleasantly surprised to see that Periwinkle wasn't alone; she had some of her friends accompanying her.

"What do you want?" I asked stiffly.

"What I want," Periwinkle said angrily, "is for you to back off."

I frowned, puzzled. "Periwinkle, what are you talking about?"

"You heard me!" Periwinkle snapped. "Stay away from Jack! The last thing I want is for you to ruin my chances with him."

I rolled my eyes to the ceiling and rose my hands in mock surrender. "Whatever. What little history Jack and I have is nonexistent. Do what you want."

I couldn't help but notice Rapunzel failing to hide her giggles at the sight of outrage on Periwinkle and her friends, and she sputtered, "I'm—I'm warning you, Ice Witch!"

"Go ahead and freeze them," I said breezily, walking away, enjoying their exclamations of rage.

"Wow, Elsa!" Rapunzel said, her eyes wide and shining. "You're so cool!"

"Cool is my specialty," I joked feebly, and she laughed.

"So anyway," Rapunzel said, "I'm arranging a sleepover and I'm going to invite our friends, who will hopefully invite their friends; it will be this Saturday, same day as the Summer Concert. I'm really hoping Flynn will come."

"Gee, I wonder why?" I chuckled, and Rapunzel blushed shyly and beamed.

After the bell rang again, I was heading towards my dorm with Rapunzel. "You, know," I said, "you—"

My voice was cut off when someone crashed into me, and I stumbled and tumbled to the floor, accidentally taking someone with me.

"Sorry," Periwinkle sneered. "I didn't see where I was going."

I was about to vent my frustrations at the stupid fairy, but my voice caught in my throat when I realized whom I took down with me.

It was Jack, who was kept looking at the retreating Periwinkle and back at me in bewilderment.

"Sorry you had to see that," I muttered, quickly standing up before he could offer to help. "I hate all of this petty drama..."

Jack, who was putting my stuff back in my bag, blinked. "You're a lot prettier up close."

My eyes widened. "What?"

Jack blinked again, looking mortified. "I meant 'here's your bag!'" he said, practically shoving my bag at me in embarrassment.

"Thanks," I said as I accepted my bag, wishing I could just disappear and never come back to this horrific scene. Suddenly, before I could help it, I blurted, "Would you and Flynn like to join the sleepover Rapunzel is planning?"

Jack looked surprised before finally answering, "Uh, sure." Realizing how cold that sounded, he hastily added, "Yeah, okay."

"Great!" Rapunzel, who was watching the whole scene happily, chirped. "We'll see you there, then!"
