Class is in Session! (Part Two)

"All right, everyone; I'm Puss n' Boots, but you can just call me Professor Boots, and I will be your instructor for this class."

I fought back a laugh at the sight of a tiny ginger tabby cat with boots and a hat pace on his desk on his hind legs, like a person.

"I want each and every one of you to introduce yourselves, " continued Professor Boots, "and name your power and/or skill you possess so you'll get to know your fellow students better."

Rapunzel, who was sitting next to Elsa, quickly stood up, making her massive braid swing like a pendulum and smiled pleasantly and said, "Hello! I'm Rapunzel, but you can just call me 'Punz' or 'Punzie. I'm from the kingdom of Corona, and my special power is healing, which I got from a magic flower sent from the heavens."

"Tell us more about this skill, Miss Rapunzel," Professor Boots said, visually impressed with what she said.

Rapunzel thought about this for a moment before elaborating. "Well, when my mother was pregnant with me, she drank a tonic made from the flower when she fell ill. My singing harnesses the magic from the flower, giving me the ability to heal."

"Well, well, señorita," Professor Boots said, "color me impressed!"

Rapunzel smiled shyly, curtsied and took her seat.

"All right, niños," Professor Boots said. "Who will be next?"

Another girl stood; she had silver spiky hair that was pointing upwards and sky-blue eyes. She wore a sleeveless feathery slip of pale blue and had light purple leggings, but the most impressive thing about her was that she had actual wings.

"Hello," she said,. "I'm Periwinkle—"

That explains her coloring, I thought.

"—and I'm Tinkerbell's twin sister." She smiled at a girl who was nearby; she had an identical face, but her golden blonde hair was pulled back into a bun and she wore a short sleeveless dress of emerald green. She too had wings.

This class is going to be interesting, I thought, staring at the twin girls' wings. Periwinkle noticed I was staring at her, and she batted her eyelashes at me and wiggled her fingers in a petite greeting. Bemused, I found myself returning the gesture (though in a more macho manner).

Elsa

I watched Periwinkle wave to Jack, who, to my dismay, waved back. Rapunzel noticed my expression and squeezed my shoulder and gently asked, "Elsa, are you okay?"

"Yeah," I whispered. "Like I said, he won't remember me."

Rapunzel nodded sadly but didn't say anything.

Once Periwinkle was done with her presentation, she shot me a glare, which I was uncomfortably aware of its meaning.

"Looks like somebody ruffled her wings," Rapunzel murmured, and I vaguely nodded.

"And got their snowflakes in a bunch," I softly added.

After several minutes of my peers introducing themselves with some low-key boasting, it was my turn after Tiana, who took her seat again next to Prince Naveen.

As I stood up, I was aware of how loud my heels clicked when I rose from my seat, and I gritted my teeth when I heard wolf whistles from some of the boys.
