chapter 16: disconnected

Jakalya POV

My phone has been going off all morning with calls messages and thousands of voicemails all from august. I had almost 30 missed call then my phone rings again and I was getting tired of it going off so I answered

" can you please stop calling me August "

" No let me explain my self to you please just hear what I have to say "

" no i dont wanna hear it bye august "

" don't han-" removing the phone from my ear I pressed the end button placing my phone next to me on the couch. I sat back with my feet up in the couch and ate ice cream and I would admit that I was hurt I just needed something to take my mind off of him.
Kiya can running down stairs and jumped in my lap

" mommy are you OK " she said smiling

" yes sweety " I said smiling

" no your not I hear you crying yesterday " she said wiping my eyes. Oh was my child the way to always brighten my day

" well I'm all better now because of you " I said kissing all over while she giggled

" stop mommy "

" OK fine"

" can we go to the mall "

" yea sure let me just put on some clothes and get you ready and we can leave OK "

" OK " she said nodding her head and crawling to the other side of the couch picking up my phone playing games

" mommy let's go there " she said pulling my arm walking into the build a bear

" can I make you one mommy "

" sure baby and I'll make you one ok " she nodded and picked out a Teddy bear and began to fill it with stuffing, she picked out clothes for it and every thing and so did I. After we finished I purchased the bears and switched.

" you like what I made you mommy " she said holding my hand and lookin up to me

" of course baby it Beautiful I love it " I said smiling at this point I was happy not caring about what has happened yesterday.

" good I like yours too, ooh my tummy is grawling can we eat " she said rubbing her stomach I laughed at her facial expression

" sure where you wanna eat " we walked to the food court

" um....burger kind " she said letting my hand go running into the line

" kiya come back here " I said walking after her

" Oo I'm sorry sir " kiya said bumping into some guy

" Its OK love where ya' mommy"

" you not suppose to run off like that and you know better " I said grabbing her hand seeing who she was talking to

" you have a beautiful daughter seeing she get her looks from her gorgeous mother" he said smiling showing off his pearly white teeth

" thank you " I said returning the smile and nodding my head

" I would like to get to know you and take you and your daughter out to dinner or lunch sometime if you don't mind" I stayed quite for a minute think should I accept saying

" um.. Why not " I said nodding my head yes

" great I'll give you my number by the way my name is Christopher " he said smiling and sticking out his hand for me to shake which I did
