Who was this man?

My mother started to punch the man's chest, which made my eyes widening. "Leave now and don't come back again." She kept screaming, punching him and the man stood there in front of her, powerless. Not fighting or stopping her.

"Mom!" I rushed and held her arms, stopping her from punching him.
I looked at the man in front of her and he had a relive expression on his face when he saw me, as if he was so glad to see me.

I turned my head and gave a look at my mother, but I couldn't help and notice the nervous look she was giving me. As if she lost her nerve and I wasn't supposed to see her in this state.

"Minyoung." My mom stroked my face, faking a smile. But that smile didn't hide her tear red eyes, I frowned at her.

"Sorry, my voice is too loud, I bothered you." She said, her eyes not meeting mine. "You must be tired, go back to your room, sweetie."
"Who are you, sir?" I ignored her, since it was oblivious that she was keeping things from me, and that she wouldn't talk when she was this angry, and I looked at the man instead.

"He's nobody and he's leaving now." She said, shaking her head, before looking at the man and order him. "Leave. Get away from us, please."
"Minyoung, I'm glad that you are okay." he said with a sad smile.

I was taken back a little since he knew my name. Of course he did know. It was our house that he had visited, which made him someone close to use and my mom...

"Leave." She said firmly. However, I could feel her shaking under my grip that was steadying her

The man turned around toward the door and I spotted tears in his eyes as he took his leave.

Mom exhaled deeply and I'd had to support her since her legs betrayed her to stand anymore. I settled her on the couch. She didn't look well as she tried to calm herself down.

"Mom, wait here a second."

I left my mother and headed outside after the man.

I heard her calling after me and telling me to come back there immediately, but I ignored her and didn't listen to her and went out.
I needed to know who he was and why my mom didn't want me to talk to him and why she asked him not to come here again.

As I got outside of our small garden and to the street, I saw him taking a turn to the next alley. I had to run to catch up with him. His legs were long, so his steps were faster than I expected.

I'd to run after him and when he was at a good distance to stop him, I called him.

"Excuse me, sir." I said loudly, catching my breath. I was out of breath from running after him, I didn't run for a long while.

The man turned slowly and his eyes widened when he saw me out of breath. "Yah, Minyoung, you shouldn't run. Your legs..."

Bingo!

I was right! This man really did know me so well.

"How did you know? Who are you?" I asked, seeking for a good and satisfying answer.

The man sighed and ran a hand over his face. "Minyoung, just go home. Your mom..."

"Sorry, sir, but I find you rude." I said, watching his eyes widening. "You have been calling me by my name, but you haven't introduced yourself to me probably."
"Still brat." He murmured, a smile flashed over his face. His face was somehow familiar, but simply, I had no idea why.

"Please, introduce yourself, probably." I said, determine.

"Okay, fine." His hand started to rub the back of his neck.
