How often do you think about why your friends came into your life? Was it random, by design, or maybe a little of both? Regardless of the reason, some friends, you just now, are gonna be by your side for a while. Others, you're not so sure.

And then there's of you that are like me. The one that still has yet to get used to all of this friend outings and all of that.

Barry, Caitlin, Cisco, Iris, Eddie and I were at a bar for a night out, drinking and throwing darts.

Iris walked toward Eddie. "I am going to destroy you."

"Don't get cocky, West," Eddie told her.

Iris smiled, taking the darts and getting ready to shoot.

Barry, Cisco, Caitlin and I were sitting at a table.

"Guys, I have a problem," I told them, taking several shots of alcohol. "I can't feel anything."

"Yeah, that's usually what happens when you drink too much," Cisco told me.

"No, the alcohol is not affecting me," I told them. "I mean, I literally feel nothing."

"Well, you didn't feel anything before the particle accelerator exploded, before you got affected by the dark matter," Caitlin told me. "Well, at least, you didn't want to feel anything."

I gave them a look. "Are you guys screwing with me?"

Cisco, Barry and Caitlin chuckled.

"It's your hypermetabolism," Barry told me. "Don't worry. I can't get drunk, either."

"I need a sample," Caitlin told me.

"I'll get more shots," Cisco told us, walking toward the bar.

Caitlin looked through her purse. "I swear I had a Vacutainer."

"Wait," I told her. "You carry a blood-collection kit in your purse?"

"You have your hobbies..." Caitlin trailed off.

I looked at Barry.

Barry smiled a small smile, shaking his head, looking away.

Cisco got us more shots.

Barry, Cisco, Caitlin and I clinked our glasses, taking the shots.

Barry chuckled, shaking his head. "Still nothing. I can't get drunk."

"I'm only 24, and my drinking days are already over," I told them.

Eddie walked closer, looking at Barry. "Come on, Allen, you're up." His phone vibrated. He pulled it out. "There was a bombing on Eighth and Pass." He looked at Iris. "I gotta go, babe."

"Okay," Iris told him, kissing him bye.

"Sorry, guys," Eddie told us, walking out, leaving.

"I've got an early shift at Jitters," Iris told us.

Caitlin faked a yawn. "I'm beat."

"We'll catch up tomorrow," Iris told us. "Great."

"It's getting late anyway, so I'm just gonna..." Barry trailed off.

Iris walked away, leaving.

Barry and I exchanged a look, standing.

Suited up.

I used fire to fly to the building Eddie had told us about, seeing a man dangling from a landing outside of the skyscraper window.
