"Nice Job Raji", I said as I started up the stairs. At the top of the stairs, a target lept forward with a shotgun. With no time to spit venom, draw my knife or claws, I simply swung my rifle at it as hard as I could, knocking the dummy onto the floor.
"Execute him", Sterling shouted.
I placed my boot on the dummies neck and put the barrel of my rifle to it's head and pulled the trigger as the rest of my team poured into the room, engaging the targets that had just come up. There wasn't any cover for us to hide behind, and seeing as how they were hiding behind sand barriers and we were way to close for Frags or Nine-bangs, our only choice was to mag dump as we pushed forward. I flipped my M27 to full auto as we closed in on the sand bags. Under our fire, Syren had flanked around and was able to take out all six targets, man was his finger fast.
"Gotta top off", Uncle Tommy said dropping the mag out of his M4.
"Gun down stand by", Sorra said.
"I'm dry", I said dropping the magazine. I pushed a fresh one up into the magwell and charged the bolt as we came to another door which was sealed.
"Prepare for entry", I said motioning to the door.
"Stacking up", Syren said.
The four of us that went on two legs were on the right side of the door, while those of us who were on all fours were on the other side.
"What do we do Ren?", Uncle Thomas asked.
"Flash them and then send in the K9", I said pulling out a Nine bang.
Raji bared his teeth as I tossed the flasher inside and shut the door. I waited for the nine bang and then kicked the door open. Raji barked and then ran inside, the rest of us funneling in after him. He grabbed one of the training drones by the arm and used all of his 800 pounds to force it to the ground and tear it to pieces while the rest of us cleared the room with body shots on the drones.
"Move forward", Sterling shouted.
I reloaded the Dragonov as we cleared the room. We followed a long hallway down a spiral staircase and came on another door, from the light underneath it, we'd be outside again.
"Flash and send the dog", I said.
Raji grinned again as Sorra and I tossed flash bangs out the door. We waited for all 18 bangs and then gave Raji the go ahead. The door gave absolutely no fight as it shattered underneath a headbutt. He barked for a third time as we funneled out the door, this time finding training drones simulating civilians.
"Check your fire we got civies", Uncle Thomas shouted.
"Noted", Syren said as he gunned down four of the at least 19 targets that had come up. Sorra dropped the magazine out of her M4 just as a target popped up in front of her. I saw it out of the corner of my eye and broke contact from my current target to engage him. I placed the crosshairs of my scope on the drones head and let the round fly down range. It sheered a huge chunk of expensive circuitry out of the dummy's head and sent it to the ground.
"Thanks Ren!", Sorra shouted as I ducked behind a concrete barrier. Raji was down on his stomach, his tail flat on the ground and his ears back. His fangs were showing and he was growling deeply, instinct I guess. I pulled a Nine bang out of my vest and pulled the pin off.
"Nine bang going out!", I shouted as I tossed it down range.
I stood up and pointed down range at a single target with a shotgun.
"Raji!", I said, "rip him up!"
Raji barked and jumped over the barricade. He darted down range and jumped at the dummy, pining it to the ground, ripping it's head clean out of it's body. I heard more insane fire from Syren's M16 as well as Val's twin barreled fifties as the last target went down.
