But there was something wrong with him, what it was took me a while to figure out, the positioning of his hips and his legs. It was stopping his flowing movement into the punch, retracting the maximum power he could've put into it.

"Your hips are wrong. Shift the right leg back an inch and you'll put your full momentum into use." I state, my eyes watching every detail.

His movements stopped at my words. His back went rigid and his head snapped up instead of its previously bent position. He still hadn't moved into the position I'd told him too and that bugged me more than it should have. Letting out a sigh I stepped off the last two steps and crossed the gym towards him. Placing my tumbler and ice pack on a seat before continuing my path.

His back was still towards me, muscles locked in place, jaw clenching. Stepping behind him I placed my hands on his waist. A shiver running through his body at the skin to skin contact. Huh, I affected him just like he affected me... Interesting. Tightening my grasp I pushed my left hand forward and pulled my right back shifting his hips into the correct position, skidding his right foot back with a nudge of my boot.

"There. Now hit. You'll have more power." I state before turning to make my way to my ice pack and whiskey. Picking them both up I took a sip and place the pack over my cheek before sitting on the bench.

Suddenly I felt arms wrap around me from behind and squeeze. The scent of vanilla met my nose, River.

"I missed you. We all did." He stated before kissing me on the right cheek quickly.

"Missed you too." I replied, sighing as the smell of vanilla eased my tense state. I was still freaking out about this morning...

I'd completely forgotten that the other two had been in the room until River had hugged me.

"So I get a punch and Alex gets a compliment? You are a dick." Cole states glaring at me while his finger is pointing directly at me.

"Stop mopping and give me a hug." I smile at his antics. Damn I missed The Ghosts.

Walking towards me he pulls me up by the hand before wrapping his arms around me and pulling me snugly into his chest. Suddenly he jelps and jumps back.

"What?" I stare at him incredulously.

"Why the hell is your left cheek like a freaking icicle?" He demands.

My eyes go wide at his question... Oh shit. Not good... If Kael find out it was Talon, well really if any of them find out then shit will get real. With wide eyes I begin to back away from Cole, placing the glass of whiskey on the bench avoiding River who's standing off to the side. Slowly I make my way towards the stairs. Both of their eyes are locked on me, suspicion gleaming in them. Shit. Tightening my grip on the ice pack I turned and bolted from the room.

Making my way up the stairs I ran towards my room. Just as I grabbed the handle a set of arms wrapped around me. Locking me into place. I'm screwed. After wriggling around I realized there really was no escape. Sighing I stopped trying to escape and waited for the inevitable.

The arms turned me, and as I'd already guessed Kael's luminescent silver orbs were staring down at me. The boys, I noticed, were all gathered behind him watching our interaction. Some with confused faces (Caiden, Alex and Caleb.) and others with intrigued ones (River and Cole).

"Alright... How about we not do this? How about we just let little ole' Bryn go, and ignore everything else?" I ask a pissed off Kael.

My only response from him was a raised eyebrow as though saying "really?"

I sighed before glancing at the rest of them again. "I liked my idea better." I grumbled to no one in particular.

Sighing again I grabbed the ice packet, but stopped quickly. "I have some conditions. One, you don't do anything stupid. Two, listen to me before raging. Three, ice cream makes things all better." They all look worried by my first two conditions before rolling their eyes at my third.
