Lets Have A Chat.

Hopping into the shower I pull down the shampoo and run it through my hair, washing away the dirt and grime that the run this morning had left behind, I then repeat the action with conditioner. Grabbing the soap I wash and scrub at my body, as I passed over my ribs I flinch away as pain shoots through me...

Shit. I'm really going to have to strap them.

Looking down I notice that my knuckles had begun to heal but the skin around them was still tender to the touch. Looks like I'll be strapping both.

Ahh what was I doing? Kael? I don't even know what the hell that was in the bedroom... One minute we're all relaxed, the next he's snapping about River being friendly to me and helping out in the kitchen. The next he's kissing my forehead. Holding my hands. Oh damn it all to hell. This is bloody confusing. And it's not like I'm going to walk up to him and be like "what the hell was that earlier?". Like seriously how awkward would that be?

After finishing up in the shower I step out and wrap a white towel around myself, grabbing a second for my hair. Wrapping the towel around my hair I twist it up to dry before looking at the bathroom mirror. I stare at the girl before me, the girl who looks like a teenager, young and carefree.

Yet my life was anything but that. I've gone through a lot, especially with Talon and the rest of them. Now having the Ghosts in my house was another experience someone my age would never expect to go through. I should've been out partying, drinking and studying. But instead, I'm training, working and well... Training.

My azure blue eyes hold the look of knowledge that others at my level knew nothing about. My 6 foot frame was tall for a girl, especially, a fighter. However it gave me reach and an aura of authority. My body is tan and toned. My deep chocolate hair, now up in a towel, reaches my waist in soft curling waves. The perfect hand hold for an opponent but it's something that reminds me of mum... Meaning I'll never cut my hair just because it was a disadvantage. Add on the fact that no matter who I go up against, I will always be better. So in honesty it's not much of a disadvantage.

After wallowing in the things I'll never have, I get to it. Making my way into the bedroom I grab my black jeans, a razor-back white shirt, my leather jacket, combat boots and underwear. After sliding into all of them I slip off the towel around my hair and brush out my semi-dry waves before making my way downstairs.

From the silence throughout the house I knew that they were in the gym. Reaching the bottom of the stairs I see a somewhat familiar sight, the boys training. Sweat dripping down their backs, muscles tensing, the slap of skin against punching bags. Except for the fact that these weren't my boys... These were The Ghosts.

Looking to the side I notice Kael leaning against a mirror watching as River's fist makes contact with one of the punching bags. His eyes take note of every small movement, every twist, turn and muscles contraction. He's a smart one. Only the best watch and learn before hand.

Master it before it masters you.

"Decent." I murmur.

Silence follows my comment. No 'clink' of weights, no slap of a hand meeting the punching bag. Only the sound of breathing. All eyes are on me.

"Decent?" River questions me.

I raise my eyebrow, "Decent." I reply before making my way upstairs.

I hear them all trailing behind me up the stairs and into the lounge. I take a seat on the chair from last night noticing the blood stains left on my couch...

"Awhh maaan! My damn couch! You couldn't have chosen anywhere else to bleed on could you?" I glare at Kael, as his eyes widen at my tone.

Not so nice after all am I, pretty boy.

"Anyways. Let's have a little chat." I survey the group standing before me, needing answers that I've waited for since finding them in my house last night.

They all nod before either leaning against a wall or sitting on the floor.

"Firstly. What the hell happened last night?" I ask no one in particular. "How did you end up in my house with Kael bleeding everywhere?"

"We were at a meet up with some of the business partners when everything went to hell. One minute we were talking and discussing terms and then next shots were flying. The partners ended up pulling guns on all of us and we took action... We managed to kill most of them before anyone got injured but then Kael was hit and bleeding fast." Alexander explains.

"After killing the rest of them we got the hell out of dodge." Caleb finishes.

"So then explain how you ended up in my house instead of your safe house on the east side?" Confusion coating my words.

"You really do know everything don't you?" Kael asks quietly.

My only response is to nod. They don't know it but they'd been my enemies, I had to know everything. Its what I did best, other than kicking ass that is.

"Well we did go to the safe house but there were cops everywhere. Someone somehow ratted on us, and the Feds found the safe house... So our next best plan was to find a house and lay low for a while." Cole explains.

"My house because?"

"Lights were off, no one was home and the back door was unlocked."  River answers this time.

"Back door? Unlocked? No ways in hell is that possible. I had a figh-shift that night... My doors stay locked 24/7 as do my windows... So what you're telling me is that my back door was open?"

The boys just nod in response.

"SHIT!" I swear before flying out of my chair and racing around the house.

Flying down the basement stairs I reach one of the mirrors before laying my hand flat onto its surface. Come on! Come on-The mirror slides open revealing my armory. Knives, swords, and guns are all in place. I slide the mirror back before turning to the bathroom off the side, slipping in I move to the only painting on the wall. A Wolf.

Lifting it off the wall I see the one thing I dread a note from him. Shit shit shit shit! At least he couldn't get in to the safe.

'Bryn,

How are you my pumpkin? Long time no see. However that should be changing
shortly. I cannot wait to see you, I've missed your company considerably.

All my love,

Talon.'
