Getting The Hell Out Of Dodge.

Blushing I avert my gaze and grab a washcloth, opening the tap I soak the washcloth with water and pull off the gauze. Dabbing at the blood I do my best to staunch the wound quickly before grabbing my bag containing the medical supplies.

Grabbing the Methylate, gauze, tape and morphine I move back into the kitchen. It's obvious that Kael is in pain from the way his jaw is clenched, his hands are fisted and his brow is furrowed. Placing everything on the counter I walk up to him.

"Kael?" His eyes flick up at the sound of my voice. "I'm going to give you more morphine than I've previously been doing. That was a hard hit you just took and we're going to be moving around a lot in the next few hours so in order for that not to hurt I'm going to have to give you more than normal, okay?" He nods in response.

Grabbing the needle I pull in 5 mg of morphine before depressing it into his shoulder. Taking the Methylate I spray it onto the wound and then tape it up.

"You can't pull another stunt like that, you hear? Otherwise you will rip the sutures and I'm going to have to sew you back up..." I tell Kael, turning back to the counter to pack everything away.

Suddenly arms wrap around my waist. "Thank you." He whispers into my ear before softly kissing my neck.

Spinning around in his arms I stare at his stunning silver eyes, they captivate me in a way no others ever have.

Wrong move Bryn. Wrong freaking move.

"I should be thanking you, you took the brunt of that fall and it was completely my fault. But don't you ever pull a stunt like that again, or I swear to everything I know I will smack the crap outta you." I reply giving him a withering look.

The morphine has definitely hit his system cause he smiles at me and kisses the end of my nose, "You're so cute." He whispers to me.

Oh my word.

This boy is going to be the death of me. One small kiss on the end of my nose and I'm melting like putty. This is not good, not good at all.

Shaking my head I pull out of his arms and pack the things away. Turning around I see Kael watching my every move, his reactions slow due to the morphine. Taking his hand I guide him downstairs to see how far the rest of The Ghosts have got with packing up. As I step onto the floor the last bag is zip closed and all of them begin picking up bags to take upstairs.

I move up the stairs, grabbing my bag in the entry way and then making my way into the garage. After the other Ghosts get over the shock of my vehicles, they load everything into the cars and look to me for guidance. By this stage Kael has his arm wrapped around my waist and is smiling lazily at the boys.

Alex looks at me before raising his eyebrows at the scene before him.

"Morphine." Is my only reply.

"Right three cars which means two of us in each... I'll take Kael in the Camaro. River take Cole in the Silverado. Alex take Caleb in the Colorado. Ladies, let's get the hell out of dodge."

River noticed me struggling with the extra weight Kael was putting on me, so he sidled up to me and placed Kael's arm over his shoulder, guiding him to the passenger side of my Camaro. Throwing my bag in the backseat, I slide into the front.

"Meet at the Starbucks on 5th, everyone needs to take a different route." I tell River before clicking the garage buttons and turning over the motor.

He nods at me as my baby purrs to life. Reversing out of the driveway I pull out onto the street and take off to Starbucks. We'll reconvene there and discuss the plan more thoroughly, at this point all I want to do is get as far away from my house as possible. That's the first place Talon and the crew will look for me, and from previous experiences we all know how easy it is for them to break into my home.

Knowing The Ghosts they'll have a safe house close by that we can spend the night at and then we'll likely head to their headquarters and meet up with the Big Boss. Caiden Morales himself.
