I flinched at the loudness and harshness of his words.
"For once, the dobe and I agree on something. You can't take them down alive." Sasuke stated emotionlessly.
"Who said I had to stay alive?" I answered.
They both looked taken aback.
"We can't move forward without you!' Naruto protested.
"Hn. Sakura, you are weak. Not to mention injured. You can't even survive against one let alone three." Sasuke reasoned.
I shook my head, clearing away my doubts.
"I've made my choice." I replied.
"But Sakura! If you do this now, what about your hopes and dreams? You can't accomplish them if you die today!" Naruto bellowed.
"Shut up Naruto. Don't speak another word about the dreams I live for. They might as well never happen because I stand with my decision. Now leave before I die for nothing. If you stay, or don't run, my purpose would've been wasted." I said in a low voice.
I looked at the ground, my hair covering my eyes.
After a moment of silence, they took off.
"Good luck Sakura." Naruto whispered before he left.
I smirked at nothing in particular.
When I looked up at the sound ninja closing in on me, I had a new feeling coursing through my veins reaching every part of my body.
The feeling of determination.
I prepared myself for their attack as I looked at each of them in the eye.
'I will not lose!' I thought as I charged towards them.
I was about to land a hit on the girl but I sank to my knees.
"Ah!" I screamed while gripping my hair.
'How could they do that without even touching me?' I thought furiously as I let go another scream.
I removed my hands from my ears. They were bleeding.
'There called sound ninja for a reason idiot!' My subconcious yelled.
I concentrated not on the earsplitting sound but on Sasuke's words.
'I'm weak.. Weak and won't even survive against one let alone three.'
His voice was ringing in my ears.
I guess my team doesn't believe in me.
'Well I'm not going to die that easily!' I thought angrily.
I still have to reach my dream. The one I live for.
I stood up shakily, only to collapse again.
I stood up again.
They decided to take me on one by one.
Zaku came first.
"You will be destroyed pretty soon, too bad my team can't join in on this joyous occasion." Zaku smirked.
He blasted another sound wave, making blood seep from my ears and mouth. The sound was so strong it cut my skin.
I concentrated on Sasuke's voice as much as I could.
