The next morning...

"Ow.." I thought. Why does my head hurt? I opened my eyes."Where am I?" I muttered. I can't remember anything from last night... I sat up. Am I in my bedroom? Why is it so bright outside? Is it morning?

I put one foot after the other off the side of my bed and walked down the narrow hallway into the kitchen.

"Dad, mom?" I called but no one answered. Where could they be?

I wandered the house, only to find it empty. Where are they? I hope nothing bad happened to them.

I opened the front door and cautiously proceeded into my village. I find no signs of life.

"Maybe they're all at the beach today..." Sometimes we have days when everyone goes to the beach and has huge barbeque. Ya, that must be it.

I hobbled towards the beach. A hard breeze stared to blow. *CRUNCH* I feel my feet step on something and I looked down to find a newspaper, today's addition.

Out of curiosity I picked up the crumbled news paper and began to read it. What? Is this a joke? I stare in disbelief at the headlines on the front page of the newspaper.

Sacred Juka Juka Tree missing?

The Juka Juka tree disappeared. No... But how could this happen? I read further

The rumors are true, the sacred Juka Juka Tree has gone missing! Early this morning the residents of Quarter island in the West Blue noticed that the Juka Juka tree wasn't there. "My left eye ball was itch'n this mor'nin, and when that happ'ns it means someth'ns wrong. I looked towards them Juka Juka tree but it wasn't there!" States Bob Bin'n from Quarter island. The World Government is worried that some people have eaten the fruits of the Juka Juka tree, and are putting all their efforts into finding those people. They also sent marines to Quarter island to fend off any invading pirates.

What? But how? Its not possible. Where's all the people of the village? Where's the Juka Juka tree?

*AHHHH!*

A blood curdling scream echoed throughout the village.

Someone is screaming! I need to go help them! I stumbled through the village toward the beach, the direction of the scream. "Almost there." I panted. Just over that hill and I can save him.

I started to see the blue ocean over the blades of grass and sand. I'm so close, just two more steps. One more-

I gazed at the horrific blood bath below. "No... This can't be real... Its just a dream..." I cried. But I knew it wasn't.

One step less... one step less, please! I fall back on my bottom. It can't be...

I looked over the the top of the hill to confirm. Everyone... Dead. Bright red blood soaks the sand, bodies of villagers, pirates and marines litter the ground. Pirates are clashing with marines and both are slaughtering the people I love.

Rina, Airi, Kyou, and even Isamu the kid that bullies me, dead.

It just can't be... I can't let this happen anymore... Before I knew, I was standing at the top of the hill and hollering to the crowd.

"STOP! THERE'S BEEN ENOUGH KILLING! PLEASE, STOP!" I yelled at everyone below. My heart was pounding and my face strained with tears. They have to... This is senseless.

All the pirates, marines, and villagers stared at me.

"Who's that cute redhead?" One of the pirates rasped.

"Did you eat the Shi Shi no Mi or the Seika Seika no Mi?" A strong marine questioned. They all froze and waited for my answer.

The Shi Shi no Mi? The Seika Seika no Mi? What's that?

"Just stop all the killing! Please..." I begged.

"Doesn't matter, we were ordered to eliminate all possible vessels of the Seika Seika and Shi Shi no Mi." A marine announced.

Is that why they killed everyone?! This is complete madness. My whole village gone... Just because of a chance? And the pirates... what do they want?

"Hey! That's why we're here too!" A pirate argued.

All the pirates and marines turned their heads to me. Oh no...
"HYYAHHHH"

They all charged towards me. The villagers rushed to me, trying to protect me. I curled up into a ball to protect myself from the blood thirsty crowd.

Stop. Stop. Stop. Please stop this...

"NAOMI!" I hear my mom cry. Mom! I peeked over my legs to see mom rushing to me, and right beside her, dad!

I laugh of relief escaped my mouth at the sight them.

*SLASH*

Mom falls over and dad gets cut by the fat pirate.

"MOM, DAD!" No.... It can't be.... I can save them though. I got out of my ball and crawled to my parents and immediately checked their heart beats... Nothing...

Mom... Tears swell up in my eyes. Dad... My head dropped on their chests and tears soaked their shirts. I completely ignore the yelling behind me.

"Mo-Mo-mom, Da-d-d" I sobbed. I know crying wont do anything, they're gone, but somewhere inside I hoped that they will get up and walk.

"Sorry redhead, but I'm killing you today." A voice boasted from over my shoulder. With tears flowing down my face I turned my head around silently and stared at the pirate skinny pirate.

"Go away..." I whispered. Yes, crying won't do anything, but I can and I will. The pirate stopped in fear and stumbled backwards. "Wha-what are you?" The pirate cowered, "why are your eyes red? Why are your tears blood?!" He scrambles backwards.

I begin in an icy tone."Congratu-freakin-lations asshole. You have awakened the Fairy of Life and Death."
