"joonie, you really should come with us," i said, turning away from the mirror. ariel exited the bathroom, dressed insanely cute with her pale blue skirt and tucked in white tee with the sleeves partially rolled.

"no." namjoon didn't even bother looking up from his phone while answering. "i don't want to go. and i don't think you two should go either."

ariel stood in front of me, looking me up and down. "i'm liking the whole black sweater crop-top and cuffed jeans, but you should change your shoes." i looked down at the ones that i had on, furrowing my eyebrows. "they should be black, not white."

"alright, alright. i'll change them." i turned to the boy on my bed. "if you're not going, then you can't stay here to wait." he looked up.

"what, why?"

"even though you basically live here, i don't trust you around my food and underwear." he scoffed, shaking his head.

"fine. i'll go."

the three of us set out to the house a few blocks down. yoongi was having a party, and he'd invited us to it. i stood by ariel as she knocked on the door, namjoon lingering behind, still on his phone.

the door opened, loud music pouring out. a boy that i vaguely recognize stood there. "yo! who invited the band geeks?" he called into the house, a cocky smirk on his lips.

"shut the fuck up, jimin," yoongi groaned, pushing his friend out of the doorway. "excuse him, he's probably drunk." he laughed nervously. "come in."

the three of us cautiously made our way inside, taking in our surroundings. the house
was filled with many people from our school; ones we would never interact with. you see, yoongi was popular. he had a specific ring of five other friends, and girls tailing him. we had never been in that ring, and no one knew he played the cello.

"er.. make yourselves at home?" yoongi said uncertainly. "we'll probably be doing a group thing later so.." he tapped his food awkwardly, slowly walking away.

"where's the kitchen?" ariel asked. i didn't know, so we wandered around until we found it.

"yeah, i heard. he's really friends with-" another one of yoongi's five friends stopped
mid-conversation when we walked into the kitchen. "ah, jungkook, you were right. the band geeks are here."

"orchestra," i corrected, picking up a soda.

"what?" he furrowed his eyebrows.

"we're in orchestra, not hand." i passed ariel a can, and she popped it open, taking a big sip.

"you think you can come here and correct us?" the one called jungkook said, scoffing incredulously. ariel shrugged.

"pretty much. it's not like you're anyone important," she said, picking up a chip. they both scoffed as yoongi walked in.

"jungkook, v; what's up?" he said cooly, grabbing a beer for himself.

"them. get them out," v said, glaring specifically at ariel. "i can't believe you're actually friends with them. i mean, you aren't really, right?" i was scared to what he would say.

"um.." yoongi chewed on his lip. "misty, could you try being a bit nicer? you too, ariel."

i scoffed.
