"show me love in red. pain in black. and serenity in blue."

*~*~*~*~*~*

she stayed with him at his house.

j u l i a nowhere to be found.

the blanket draped across her shoulders were big,

bulky and warm.

the short black dress she wore to the funeral was plastered to her skin,

sticking tight to her body.

he watched as her breathing regulating from the crying,

turning into short pants of confusion,

loss,

and sadness.

her face was peached,

eyes losing color with every blink.

and he just watched.

observed.

pitied.

she scoffed at him.

"you're persistent, you know that?"

he chuckled.

"I've heard."

"did you also know that you should stop? that you could hurt yourself think of others?"

he was in front of her,

leaning down to whisper,

"I said I've heard. not that I give a shit."

he stood again,

peeling off the black button down after the tie away from his body,

dropping the clothing on the floor.

she looked at his chest,

then his eyes,

both clouded with something unknown.

"what are you doing?"

his hands met the zipper of her dress,

undoing it slowly,

letting the humming vibration of the stumps graze her back.

his breath met her face as the dress was pulled down,

her red bra visible.

"you said, comfort comes from the touch of another human being. with a twist."

he passed his lips on hers.

"I'm granting your wish, m a r a."

and all that was heard that night,

were the euphoric sounds of love.

sincerely, m a r a.
