I jogged over to my car, and got in quickly. I hurried towards the diner, wondering what could've happened in the short time it took me to change.
I pulled into the parking lot, and parked beside her Jeep. I got out and rushed to her door. I opened it to reveal Zoey, tears and franticness clouding her eyes. I pulled her tightly to my chest, rubbing her back. She hadn't even been in town twenty four hours, and somebody had already hurt her again. And it was all because I made her come back for my graduation.

Zoey's POV
I had arrived in town last night to make sure I'd be able to make it to Ross' graduation. I had gotten up this morning dressed in a pretty top from one of the local stores near my apartment, some ripped capris, my signature necklace from one of my favorite customers, and my high top Converses. I slicked my hair back, and done minimal makeup.
I made sure to go with the crowd, so Ross wouldn't notice me. When he had been called on stage, I made a small scene of silently cheering which earned me a smile from him. After the ceremony, I gave him time to see his parents, then locked eyes with him. I ran and gave him a hug. I could tell he liked the present I had got him, I'd have to remember to thank Melissa again later.
I had been waiting at Ross' car while he went to change, when I saw him with them, and then he kissed her. Part of me knew it could happen, hell I figured it probably would. It was what he had wanted and it would've been easier once I was out of the picture. I had told myself before that it wouldn't bother me. And it probably would've been true if he hadn't looked at me and smiled.
I didn't allow myself time to decipher the look. I spun on my heel and jogged to my Jeep, jumping in, I started the engine and sped off. My vision got blurry with tears and I pulled over into the parking lot of Bob's Diner. I sent a quick text to Ross, then tossed my phone into the passenger seat.
Soon, my door was opened and I was pulled into Ross' chest.
When I finally calmed down, I pulled back and wiped my face. I reached into the backseat and grabbed my makeup bag, and began hiding the evidence of my tears. "What happened?" Ross questioned, watching me.
"To tell you the truth, I'm not quite sure. Let's just grab something to eat and get out of this town. Plus, Alex will have my ass if I drive home at night, especially after being here. The butthole almost forced me to bring him," I said, my mood slightly lightening up at the thought of Alex.
"Fine, I won't push you for information but I'm here if you want to talk," he said with a sigh.
"I know. Now let's go," I replied, putting my makeup bag away and grabbing my wallet, phone, and keys. I jumped out, closed the door and grabbed his hand, pulling him towards the door. "Oh, and this is my treat. Can't have you buying your own meal after you graduated."
"But-" he tried but I cut him off.
"Nope, no arguing. I'm a female, and I won't lose any argument."
We sat down in a booth and had lunch. Once we were done, we headed out to the parking lot. I pulled the cover off my Jeep, and rolled the windows down.
"God, I want your Jeep. What made you go for it? You don't really seem like the kind," Ross asked as I tucked the cover into the back.
"I had a truck before, so I knew I didn't want a car. Alex knew I was looking for a vehicle and found an ad for this thing. He took me to look at it, and it was love at first site." I walked back up front and grabbed my sunglasses from the console and slid them on.
"You're full of surprises, aren't you?" He said with a grin.
"Everybody got them. Now let's go, Alex has already started bugging me." I climbed into the driver's seat, and kicked my shoes off, tossing them in the passenger side floorboard.
"Okay, I'm following you," he said, before turning and getting in his car.
I picked up my phone, texting Alex that I was on my way. I pulled out of my spot, and cranked up the radio, music blasting. And the journey begins, again.

A/N: So yeah, updates are slow but I've got a life outside of Wattpad. I write when I can and sometimes life gets in the way of plans that are made. Usually when I get home, it's all I can do to stay awake, and weekends are just free time for doing whatever. But I'm trying to write more, unfortunately it's not so easy to find time to write throughout the day anymore. But I'm still writing for those who still stick with this story.
Please comment, any kind of constructive criticism and positive comments are welcome, if you don't like it don't read it, simple as that.
So next chapter we get to meet Alex, the different side that we didn't get to see when we first met him. But trust me, he's definitely 'interesting' for lack of a better word. And Max is hooked up with Brittney, I didn't see that coming either but like I said the characters have a mind of there own, and I think we'll see more of them after all, Zoey can use her real identity without worrying about her father and stepmother now. And Ross... We'll just have to see where that goes, he just had to push himself back into the focus of the story.
Anywho, I'm super tired because it's past midnight where I'm at, so enjoy. Vote, comment, even share.
