Chapter two

Agony is not only physical

AN: D’aww thanks, I put this chapter up as soon as I could!! More darkness, more Angst! Sky.   It’s becoming cheesier by the second, believe me.  Going super fast okay?

“He’s at the squid dimension,” Dawn confirmed a grim look on her face.  Husky and Deadlox glanced nervously at each other.

“Obviously,” True MU said, his eye roll nonexistent, “The squids are being stupid,”

“I don’t think they’d be stupid if they nearly ate my face off,” Deadlox said in a steely voice.  Dawn rolled her eyes,

“Squid dimension guys, suit up, let’s get this operation underway,” Dawn said briskly going into another trunk and pulling out several chestplates of shiny budder armor.  She threw a chestplate, some leggings and a pair of boots to each rescuer.  She then threw a budder sword  at each rescuer, pulling on the same outfit as well.

“You look so… determined,” True MU said to Dawn, who glanced back at him coldly.

“I’m doing what I have to do when Sky’s kidnapped, get the budder, kill the squids,”

The group all lined up outside of her house to the portal to the squid dimension, strangely close by.

-Sky-

When Sky woke up, he woke up on a bed, shirtless, covered in a silk blanket of yellow.  All of his wounds were gone and he felt no pain.  Strange.  Why would the Squid Menace decide to help him? At the foot of his bed was a pair of silk slacks and a dress shirt- also precious silk.  A young girl entered the room, he heard a door unlock.  She had a yellow hat and brown curls around her brown face.  Her uniform was an all white dress.

“Sky,” She said in a small voice, “General wants to see you in the outfit, and he wants you to drink this,” She handed him a familiar purple potion known as a healing potion.

“I don’t feel anything, I think I’m all healed,” Sky said, sitting up allowing the silk yellow blanket to show off chiseled muscle.

“Just in case,” The girl said and left him.  Cautiously, he uncorked the potion and allowed the warm stuff to slide down his throat.  Although he wanted to object to wearing the stupid frilly thing, he wondered how bad and how smart this new enemy might be.  So he allowed the strangely silky, smooth soft shirt to relax his arms and chest.  He pulled on the slacks and looked at himself in the mirror.  Sky felt that he was unrecognizable.  No shoes, his toes seemed to thrive in the rick carpet.  Where was this place?  When he ran his fingers through his hair in a weak attempt to fix it and was about to sit back on the bed, the same girl came back to escort him to breakfast.  Sky attempted to make his face stoic, but instead he felt even more nervous than ever.  The table was long and practically empty, saving for the dark figure people called General.  Sky put on his stoic face once more as he sat at the very opposite end of the table.  A very sensible looking breakfast was laid out to him, grapes, oranges, ham, turkey, eggs, sausage, raspberries, blueberries and glazed doughy thingies.  He made sure not to touch anything but the General spoke:

“You’re hungry Sky, don’t be stubborn,”

Just as Sky was about to object his stomach rumbled loudly.  So carefully, Sky picked up a grape and wedged it between his teeth, breaking the delicate skin allowing the sweet juices to trickle down his throat.  He won’t admit it, but it was pure bliss.  He chewed the pulpy insides and swallowed the sweet stuff as well.  Not poisoned.  Sky ate the whole grape.  He continued eating grapes, steadily and carefully until he was full.
